Supports seamless authentication for users across multiple organizations and personal portals
The features I use in Cisco Duo include Duo Pushes to confirm my identity to the device, and eventually as MFA security was increased, I actually had to use exchange passcodes. Sometimes, I have to go into the site and get into Cisco Duo to retrieve the passcode, and many of them have been two-factor, where the sites send a passcode that I have to enter into Cisco Duo. It has been more of the latter. I have not seen issues with lagging or crashing on Cisco Duo's end; it was usually on the client end, often because someone set up a bad upgrade or there were connection issues with the Cisco Duo cloud through the administrative site.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The two-factor login is great. I receive a message and just have to press okay."
"Everybody loves it. They feel a sense of security when they get that prompt to send them a text, or an email."
"For one of my clients, the ROI was somewhere between 25 to 27 percent in year one."
"They are users who, as mentioned before, utilize RDPAP and MDPAP. It includes functionalities related to finance, specifically in single sign-on."
"Overall, it provides functionality and security with the two-factor authentication, enabling us to mitigate rogue access requests to our network and giving our workers the ability to work hybridly and tackle day-to-day jobs securely without having to come into the office."
"The integration with Azure Active Directory and the AWS cloud is amazing, as most products nowadays require the creation of a customized integration. With Duo Security, it was more like native integration, and it took me five minutes to register."
"I appreciate the features that Cisco Duo offers."
"I believe Cisco Duo is worth the investment, offering a good return on investment, as it is expensive but works very well without any downtime or high maintenance, and the support is also good."
"The technical support has been great; their service is perfect."
"RSA Authentication Manager Appliance is almost like Plug 'n' Play, so it's an excellent experience."
"The product has addressed our remote access security needs while making our work force mobile thus enhancing productivity and customer service initiatives."
"I have found RSA Authentication Manager to be scalable."
"Easy setup, deployment, and integration in different infrastructures, including virtual ones."
"RSA Authentication Manager is the best available solution."
"It is a good solution for token identification."
"It is a stable solution. I would rate the stability a nine out of ten."

Cons

"At the moment, I believe that more integration between Cisco Duo Identity Intelligence and the classic Cisco Duo console can be improved, since it is still a separate platform, and when I click on Identity Intelligence, I have to open a new window and log in again."
"There is another issue with removing the application from your computer. It is difficult to remove the application on Windows."
"It could be a little bit more intuitive when it comes to the sign-up process. I know they send out an email, but sometimes our users get a little confused. It could be an end-user problem, but Cisco could work on that a little."
"I would appreciate seeing Cisco Duo improved with a tighter integration with Active Directory to secure not just Remote Desktop to a server, but all the remote levels of connection that you can make to a server."
"I wouldn't mind seeing some options for remembering a device for a short period of time or a specific login, particularly for administrative engineering staff, as we may be logging in to four or five different services."
"An improvement for Cisco Duo would be a simplification of the licensing model since it's quite complicated to know what's included or not, especially now as it's part of Cisco Secure User Suite, and there are many modifications happening regarding the licensing."
"The new smart license model doesn't always work. It's very complicated."
"Cisco Duo has not helped my company reduce its overall authentication-related costs, as it is a cost above what we already have."
"RSA Authentication Manager is perfect. We do not see current missing products or enhancements yet emphasize the importance of a continuous development roadmap."
"We found technical support was not very responsive to our requests for assistance."
"The product's capabilities to protect cloud environments need improvement."
"We found technical support was not very responsive to our requests for assistance."
"Our major problem is the authentication via Microsoft, via Microsoft cloud systems."
"Perhaps parts of the the user interface should become more intuitive."
"We are seeing a lot of difficult issues in terms of RSA, especially the cloud-based two-factor authentication process."
"Perhaps parts of the user interface should become more intuitive."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Their pricing model is a little bit weird. Currently, there is no price advantage in signing up for yearly contracts. There are no additional costs to the standard licensing costs."
"Price-wise, the solution has been very, very reasonable...Licensing is the last thing I think about Duo Security because it's so easy, and I had no problems with it."
"It was very reasonable."
"Price wise, it's not cheap, but it's not expensive at all either. It's in the middle."
"It is affordable for what's coming to the table with it, but in this day and age, the cost is looked at under a microscope, and companies need to very finely define what is needed versus what is critical. In some cases, it might not be cost-effective for a company to have it. In a lot of other cases, it is the cost of doing business."
"I believe the licensing model is excellent as it offers flexibility to our customers, allowing them to adopt a crawl, walk, or run approach."
"Our licensing fee is currently on an annual basis."
"From a business perspective, it is a little bit costly. The licensing is on a per-user basis."
"The solution is costly."
"As a new customer, the minimum cost would be four dollars, but you have room for negotiation, potentially bringing it down to as low as three dollars."
"The pricing is a little bit complicated because sometimes resellers are able to make prices that are too low. Our price, with a discount, is typically not as high as some of our competitors."
