Supports seamless authentication for users across multiple organizations and personal portals
The features I use in Cisco Duo include Duo Pushes to confirm my identity to the device, and eventually as MFA security was increased, I actually had to use exchange passcodes. Sometimes, I have to go into the site and get into Cisco Duo to retrieve the passcode, and many of them have been two-factor, where the sites send a passcode that I have to enter into Cisco Duo. It has been more of the latter. I have not seen issues with lagging or crashing on Cisco Duo's end; it was usually on the client end, often because someone set up a bad upgrade or there were connection issues with the Cisco Duo cloud through the administrative site.

Pros

"For me, the biggest return on investment when using Cisco Duo is my time."
"My advice for other companies that are considering getting Cisco Duo is to try it, and you will be amazed at how easy and how productive this tool is."
"Duo Security just adds another layer; it's a great addition to the security of any network infrastructure."
"Compared to Cisco, the general support I experience is fantastic; I have no complaints about it."
"From the front end, it's very fast and it hasn't missed a beat, so to say."
"The Verified Duo Push feature is valuable. It gives an extra level of security beyond just the regular push."
"I can say that it is difficult to measure the direct return on investment, but what I can say is that we are safer and feel more comfortable having this security implemented than before."
"My impression of Cisco's identity intelligence capability to detect and respond to identity-based risks effectively is that it's a great product."
"RSA Authentication Manager is a robust solution that provides comprehensive protection for both on-premise and cloud-based applications."
"The most valuable feature is the SecurID."
"It is a stable solution. I would rate the stability a nine out of ten."
"The technical support has been great; their service is perfect."
"The product has addressed our remote access security needs while making our work force mobile thus enhancing productivity and customer service initiatives."
"In 2005 we started with a managed authentication service for three small companies with each having approx. 250 users, and now we have 25 large enterprises/government departments with over 150,000 authenticating users and an uptime of nearly 100% over the last five years."
"The most valuable feature is the provision part. The mapping and the logging is also very good. In addition, the troubleshooting, from a console point of view, is easy for administration and on the provisioning and logging part."
"It is a good solution for token identification."

Cons

"However, I know that sometimes integrating it with the Linux environment is a bit of a pain."
"Smart Licensing needs improvement. It's terrible. We have problems with it every year and we need to involve support to fix it."
"My experience with deploying Cisco Duo was a bit rough at first, but after we got it smoothed out, it has worked ever since."
"From an administrative standpoint, I'd love to see it be a little better at remembering a device and location so that I don't have to continually authenticate. That's pretty much it."
"I faced a significant issue about a year back when I tried to integrate Cisco Duo with Citrix NetScaler and enable MFA for Citrix NetScaler integration."
"I think Cisco Duo could improve the dashboard to make logging in and credential management more visible."
"However, I need to look into Cisco Duo; I had not realized they had an email aspect."
"Technical support seems to be lacking. It takes a long time for them to come back to the customer."
"My observation over the years is that the system upgrades can be complicated and must be well planned out to address 'what if' issues, including backing off upgrades if necessary."
"We found technical support was not very responsive to our requests for assistance."
"Enhancing the user interface and expanding their marketing efforts in regions like Nigeria and West Africa could be beneficial."
"Our major problem is the authentication via Microsoft, via Microsoft cloud systems. This is our major aim, to be a valued product for the future. The biggest problem is to work against cheap cloud systems. Cloud identification is our main problem at this time."
"The reporting needs to be improved, and they should be delivered by email."
"There is room for improvement in the RSA support."
"The product's capabilities to protect cloud environments need improvement."
"The price needs to be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product’s pricing is reasonable."
"The pricing is pretty competitive. It's pretty cheap. Anybody can adopt it."
"The licensing is very good because it does not cost a lot of money. It's affordable for all-sized customers, including enterprises. There is an additional cost for premium support."
"My experience with pricing, setup costs, and licensing has been good, with no issues. I am pleased that the prices remained stable after Cisco acquired the solution."
"You pay per user when using this solution and the pricing is fair."
"I only need the solution for IT staff, which makes it relatively cheap. If I deployed it for the whole company, it would be costly, so it depends on the number of users. Duo Security is affordable compared to other products in the segment."
"From a reseller perspective, it's still challenging to explain the whole license strategy to a client, so we really have to be ahead of that for all the true forward conversations."
"It falls in line with everything else."
"The solution is costly."
"The pricing is a little bit complicated because sometimes resellers are able to make prices that are too low. Our price, with a discount, is typically not as high as some of our competitors."
"As a new customer, the minimum cost would be four dollars, but you have room for negotiation, potentially bringing it down to as low as three dollars."
