The interface is easy to use and gives you a solid overview
The cloud-based deployment was straightforward, but the on-prem deployment was in a highly complex ecosystem. Omada has matured since then. I wouldn't say that it isn't straightforward, but it depends on the customer. A standard deployment is relatively easy, but it can be more painful if you need a lot of customization. We deployed the cloud solution in around four months, nearly meeting the 12-week benchmark. The on-prem deployment took three years. It was a highly complex ecosystem that was dependent on other systems. Depending on the size of your environment, you need a product owner and some specialists for maintenance. My last customer was a university with a complex environment. They had around 12 people involved in maintenance at that organization. Typically, it's between 2-5 people.

Reasonably priced with central authentication and the ability to expand
They were working on means of delivering a more holistic view of patch management across all of the devices. We didn't get to test out some of their newer features. That was something that we needed. We didn't necessarily have, so we had to go with a different product, and then we never had an opportunity to sort of bring it back into jump cloud versus using that separate product. They need more straightening of the SSO capabilities. For example, with some companies, you can configure just in time, so you don't have to manually go out to that system, and create the user and remove the user, and all of that. They need to automate that process more.

Easy to use, maintenance-free, and helps us to provide a better user experience
This product doesn't necessarily provide us with all of the functionality that we need, such as being able to share passwords with external users. It does with regards to single sign-on solutions but there are other non-single sign-on tools that we utilize. For example, we use LastPass for some of our services because it allows us to share passwords with external vendors. This solution needs to offer better management of non-single sign-on applications. It should offer the ability to provide secure password management, with either an external party and/or better sharing. In that same bracket, it would be nice to have password management where the websites or the tool requires two-factor authentication. In LastPass, you can support the one-time password if it's embedded into the LastPass profile for that application, which means that multiple users can use that from within LastPass. Having that feature and being able to do that in OneLogin would be huge.
