Offers visibility and cost benefits
The tool has given us more visibility, but I'm not very technical, so I can't comment on specific features. However, the diagnostic tools for identifying system issues have greatly improved, which we appreciate. We still use Cisco ICE for authentication on the Juniper network, as we did before. We've seen cost benefits with the Juniper WLC Series, which was a key factor in our decision-making during the proof of concept. Besides cost improvements, we've also noticed better resolution of issues and faults in our help desk, thanks to the enhanced features.

Reliable and high-performance wireless networking with exceptional stability, scalability, and robust feature set
One of the most valuable features I appreciate is auto channelization, facilitated by a proprietary product called ChannelFly. This feature enables APs in a specific zone to automatically adjust their channels, optimizing performance. Additionally, Ruckus Wireless stands out for its ability to reuse certain beams, resulting in smaller data spots. In my experience with various products, Ruckus Wireless consistently delivers unparalleled throughput, coverage, and reliability in wireless networking across different environments. As a noteworthy point, the newly launched WiFi 7 standard is measured against Ruckus's WiFi 7 AP, establishing it as the global benchmark. When it comes to WiFi, Ruckus sets the standard, outperforming competitors with its superior performance and capabilities.

Pros

"Juniper WLC Series is a very high-performance device designed for indoor wireless deployment."
"The Artificial Intelligence on offer is very useful."
"The tool has given us more visibility, but I'm not very technical, so I can't comment on specific features. However, the diagnostic tools for identifying system issues have greatly improved, which we appreciate. We still use Cisco ICE for authentication on the Juniper network, as we did before. Besides cost improvements, we've also noticed better resolution of issues and faults in our help desk, thanks to the enhanced features."
"Juniper Wireless is reasonable, with a bit of complexity compared to Alibaba and SQL."
"There weren't any scalability issues, the product did what it had to do."
"The installation process is very easy."
"It is a very stable solution."
"The installation process is nice and easy."
"Ruckus Wireless is a valuable solution. It's both scalable and reliable."
"The mesh technology is the solution's most valuable aspect. Ruckus originally had the patent for it. They might've lost it because I see now that other people are doing it, however, they were the ones who came out with the smart mesh technology first, which is phenomenal."
"We used to struggle a lot doing the connectivity between the branch offices in port. Ruckus offers the flexibility to pull the connectivity and we can actually manage our workflow and application to this connectivity. It is a wonderful way of doing things fast."
"The solution has great network intelligence from applications, clients, access points, and controllers."
"It has one of the smoothest operations."
"The solution enhances the user experience."
"The APs themselves have been pretty solid. We haven't had too many of them go bad or anything like that. The wireless performance seems pretty good. The ability to provision the devices is pretty good, and the back end is also pretty good."
"Tremendous throughput and easy installation, configuration, and monitoring."

Cons

"The support on offer to other vendors switching - like Aruba or Ruckus - could be improved."
"Juniper lacks a network access control agent similar to solutions like Alubakya Path and Cisco ISE."
"The solution could offer more integration with other products."
"There could be more information from the controller, and it could be easier to work with the controller lights. It's not easy to bring up the upgrades."
"There could be a high level of security."
"In my region, access to the product is very difficult and presents a logistical nightmare."
"Juniper WLC Series has certain shortcomings in traffic monitoring."
"In my region, access to the product is very difficult and presents a logistical nightmare. Also, pricing is a big problem and a barrier to entry when selling Juniper against competitors."
"We use this solution in a certain way, and it works very well. So, I don't expect it to do a lot more, but to do what it's doing probably better or faster. But it's not a problem with the features; it's more the operations."
"Ruckus products, overall, have a wide range of useful features, however not all customers have the budget to buy a corporate Wi-Fi solution. Most of the time, it's far too expensive for our clients to consider going with Ruckus, and they might like to see cheaper solutions in the Ruckus range."
"I would like to see this product made a little more economical because it's very expensive."
"Mounting options for outdoor access points, I think they could easily improve on that."
"The switching could be improved. The active component requires a data center. Cisco and HPE have a complete solution for data centers. Ruckus has a core solution, but the data center aspect needs to be improved."
"I think it would be nice if Ruckus offered the option of a cloud interface for easy configuration of Ruckus Wireless."
"The initial setup is complex."
"The delivery time of the hardware needs to be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution's pricing is reasonable."
"The licensing cost is quite high, but considering it's an enterprise solution, the complexity justifies the price."
"There is a certain amount that needs to be paid towards the licensing charges associated with the product, but though I am not sure, I feel the licenses that we have in our company are for three years."
"The product is relatively affordable for enterprise companies."
"Juniper WLC Series is a bit pricey but worth its cost."
"The price of Ruckus Wireless is more expensive than other options."
"The price of Ruckus Wireless could be better. I have heard it is more expensive than other solutions."
"Licensing is subscription-based."
"It's a lot more expensive."
"The cost can be prohibitive for many as it is a high-end product in the WiFi market."
"It's quite expensive, but that is what you get with these types of solutions."
"Ruckus Wireless is a cheaper solution than Cisco."
"Ruckus Wireless is not an expensive solution."
