Overall useful features and beneficial navigation customization
The solution could improve by offering PeopleSoft site licenses. Currently, Oracle is pushing for everyone to transition to the cloud, but clients are discontent with this approach. Offering new PeopleSoft site licenses would be the most beneficial for our clients. The needs and preferences vary for each industry and client, but a recurring request has been for improved data analytics capabilities. The work centers have provided a useful tool for customizing the navigation, however, I believe the code needs to be optimized to increase efficiency. Clients often have demanding workloads, and when they all have customized work centers, it puts a strain on the system.

Provides OData services and processing power to offer real-time data processing and analytics
SAP S/4HANA delivers all essential possibilities to customers for various sections. In the current modern age, we use SAP for graphical outputs, reports, and smartphone accessibility. If users want to see financial outputs via diagrams, we use SAP by Design. For specific confirmations via mobile app or web app, we use few other applications. If users want only source forms and not hard copies, we use AR forms. The most advanced functionality in S/4HANA is the OData service. It's crucial because everyone wants to integrate third-party applications with SAP S/4HANA. SAP HANA uses advanced OData services, integrating with Azure HANA. We also use SQL services and Java security, allowing every language to interface with SAP, choosing tools specific for our requirements.

Pros

"Peoplesoft is the best payroll software in the market."
"I like the speed of the processing and how easy it is to use."
"PeopleSoft allows you to schedule upgrades and inform users beforehand. This gives your IT team time to manage the implementation and minimize disruption."
"The breadcrumb approach to navigation in PeopleSoft is good. nVision is also a good supplement."
"Scales up very well."
"Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"I use the reporting feature occasionally to check for potential improvements in timesheets. We have integrated it with Power BI."
"The integration between Human Capital Management (HCM) and PeopleSoft is an important feature."
"The solution is flexible, has a lot of functionality, and has the ability to deliver more security than other comparable solutions."
"The ability to optimize performance by allowing both data transactions and analytics on a single platform is particularly valuable."
"S4HANA is relatively stable."
"It is really fast. It is also very stable."
"The processes have been reduced from almost 10 steps to four or five steps. It's really been simplified."
"S/4HANA offers a lot of additional capability with respect to performance due to its in-built architecture for many functions including finance, production, quality, manufacturing, inventory or sales distribution and logistics."
"From a technology standpoint, the theory and analytics are fascinating."
"Provides multiple tools for easy integrations"

Cons

"Initial setup can be complex without training or use of consultants."
"Agile system configurations to accommodate business dynamics."
"Parsing of CVs is productive but accuracy can be improved."
"Scalability is not there in PeopleSoft. Its performance and resilience are also very bad. When you're trying to stretch it, it breaks. It is not resilient. It is also not stable. It is stable as far as data is concerned, but the infrastructure is not stable."
"Areas that need improvement are the add-ons to the fluid pages and additional features in SCM and finance, both functionally and technically."
"It would be nice if it became even more declarative in its development."
"One of the areas that could improve is the capability of utilizing mobile for some of the self-service activities that are missing. They are running on the older platform. What is happening is people are focusing on the cloud. PeopleSoft is a good provider and should into the cloud. That could be an advantage for them. Customers would not have to go find another solution that is a completely different platform that has different functionality altogether."
"Often support just asks people to install a lot of upgrades. Sometimes they don't really give you clear details as to why you need to upgrade. They just say, "You need to upgrade this because there's a newer image, etc". They never really give you the reason underlying why you are having errors."
"The analytics part of SAP S/4HANA needs to be improved"
"There might be some restrictions in the public cloud."
"The product should improve its cost."
"Thi solution can improve the Bill of Materials (BOM) and production planning."
"Starting out on the solution can be a bit complex and difficult."
"The procure-to-pay solution in the Contract Management angle could be better. If you look at it on Ariba, the Contract Management Life Cycle for Ariba is more robust. You can create documentation, SLAs, and NDAs. Apart from the procurement aspect of the contract, you have the legal side, but Ariba cannot do that. From what I've seen, the features of the procure-to-pay model in S/4HANA and their Contract Life Cycle Management side primarily focus on the procurement side. I believe it would be good if this solution could handle a part of the legal side. They will incorporate Extended Warehouse Management and Transportation Management into the S/4HANA cloud. Most big companies that use a solution like S/4HANA have a legal department within the organization. Suppose they can incorporate that to be in S/4HANA suites; I think it'll be good. It will be just like what we have with Transportation Management and Extended Warehouse Management. The user interface could be better. They have too much information on the interface, and our customers still keep complaining that it looks complex. Even though many things have changed, they still complain that the interface or the screen they see is a bit complex. It's only when they see the Fiori interface that their mind becomes a bit calm."
"The initial setup could be better. They can make the process a little easier. The functions that we require will be available in the next release. We specifically need a new model, and I think we have some versions to implement. I already read on the SAP website that some functionalities we are waiting for are available in this new version."
"There should be an easier way to migrate customers from all versions to SAP S/4HANA."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There are no additional costs for licensing."
"We are a University and the cost and license are negotiated privately."
"Yearly payments are to be made toward the licensing costs of PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft is not very expensive, so I feel it is an affordable product."
"I would rate the pricing an eight out of ten, with ten being expensive."
"This solution offers annual licensing. We pay per user."
"The main issue we have with the solution is that it is very expensive."
"I would consider this to be an expensive product, but the quality justifies it."
"Check all options before a decision is made."
"The price of the solution is on the higher side compared to others."
"It is costly in computing because these VMs have a huge CPU and utilization."
"I rate the pricing a ten on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is too expensive. It is an expensive tool."
"The price of this product is an issue for some customers."
"As for pricing, it depends on the business size and flow. If it's a medium-sized business, it might seem affordable, but for larger businesses with complex processes, it could be considered expensive."
"It is an expensive solution."
"There is an annual license for SAP S4HANA."
"It is on a quarterly basis. There are no additional costs. There is just the standard fee."
