Stable product, suitable for limited integrations and lacks flexibility
Every product has its pros and cons. Boomi has some drawbacks, but it's generally okay. It could be better in terms of features, flexibility, and especially storage. We have issues there. In day-to-day operations, tracking transactions is a major challenge. It takes hours to track a single transaction. It is not a straightforward process. Other products like TIBCO or IBM have simpler transaction tracking by ID. In Boomi, it's much more time-consuming. We need to go through each and every timestamp and identify the transaction details. It is a pain point for us. We use Boomi only for process execution. We used it for API and APM but switched to Azure APM. The low latency mode is another pain point. General mode consumes a lot of resources, but to have adequate logging information, we need to deploy in general mode. Whereas low latency gives very good throughput and good performance, but we are losing a lot of important information. So these are the some of the aspects.

Great with complex documents but UI could be improved
Kofax is predominantly used for data extraction from documents in the banking industry Kofax RPA has allowed us to create a program in which the top 100 forms used across the organization are extracted and pushed into a database, from which any team globally can extract the information from those…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution has a lot of connectors, which is quite helpful."
"We work on the flow between systems and the most valuable features for that purpose are the mapping of data, interface mapping, and data integration."
"This is a fairly easy-to-use tool for integration which can be self-taught for those with a bit of a technical background."
"The Salesforce and NetSuite Application specific “connectors” provide a layer of abstraction on top of the SOAP-based APIs to streamline integration development."
"AtomSphere Integration will suit those looking for small automation and simple integrations."
"Extremely flexible for any kind of integration between systems."
"This solution has a user-friendly interface and very good documentation with solutions that helped us in working with the tool efficiently."
"The connection configuration part and the drag-and-drop integration module are the most valuable features for me."
"This is a stable platform and we did not encounter any big problems."
"The drag and drop functionality is quite good."
"The ability to script information from websites is most valuable. It also seems to be fairly robust and reasonably easy to manage on a server-based deployment. We have a number of robots operating on the central server."
"Kofax RPA's best feature is its high success percentage in picking up information from documents, especially where the DPI is really low."
"The flexibility to use already-developed components is really good. You can use it for Excel-related operations and other things."
"It is very simple and easy to learn compared to any other RPA tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism."
"The product saves time and resources."
"The most valuable feature is the robotic process."

Cons

"There are very few string handling functions and few mathematical functions are available."
"It is a costly platform. Its pricing could be better."
"There are still some areas that need improvement. For example, when updates are going on, the product becomes very slow."
"The solution is complex. There's a few items and features that are hard to understand. They should work to simplify the functionality so new users don't struggle."
"We encountered stability issues occasionally, one to two times a year."
"The API can use some work to come up to speed with the competition but Dell has plans and is working on resolving that."
"It crashes if we run high-volume integration."
"The high price of the solution is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"The product has some constraints and performance issues."
"The solution could use some AI integrated features."
"Kofax RPA needs to improve integration with SAP and Microsoft. The professional services offered by the tool's team is below par. Its licensing needs to be more modular."
"The scalability has room for improvement."
"This product has room for improvement in support of aviation. The interface could be improved in the next release."
"The solution needs to be scalable."
"I would like to see them further enhance the OCR, specifically in the multi-language support."
"Kofax RPA's UI could be more user-friendly."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost of the solution is in the neighborhood of $20,000 annually. There are no costs above the standard licensing fee."
"When it comes to pricing, it's not so much about being less expensive as it is about how they don't tie to the hardware on the underlined VMware that you run on, as other vendors do"
"Approximately 20k annually."
"It is an expensive platform."
"AtomSphere Integration's pricing is competitive, and I would rate it seven out of ten."
"The licensing model of Dell Boomi is based on a ‘pay-per-use’ model."
"They do not charge by the number of people using the software (client-server model), but rather they charge based on the number of connections used. This makes it very cost effective."
"This solution is very economical (based on the connections)."
"The cost depends on the number of licenses and the number of RPAs."
"The solution’s license is not expensive."
"Its pricing is reasonable given the product capabilities. Kofax has a wide range of products, and it can sometimes be confusing to understand which capabilities come with which product set. One of the key facets that we've been looking into recently is cognitive document recognition that was a core pile of some of their other technologies such as Kofax transformation modules (KTM)."
"I give the price of the solution a six out of ten."
"Kofax's prices are pretty reasonable."
"The normal price for an on-premises license is €50,000. That's the price for one robot license. You can have more than one robot license but only one can be run at any one time. I believe the cost of adding a second robot is around €14,000."
"The pricing model for automation solutions like Automation Anywhere, UiPath, and Microsoft Power Platform is subscription-based, where costs are calculated based on factors such as the number of hours used and the scale of automation required.......With Kofax, you purchase a license upfront, and that's all you need. You can create as many automation workflows as you require without additional costs for individual use cases."
"Price is not a problem, because they are a competitor and we have a special rate."
