A competent solution for integrating enterprise-grade software
The solution is very stable. When it gets pushed to the limit, it starts breaking. For example, it's a bad design when you are using Dell Boomi for millions of records in processing, such as updating a database for millions of records. It doesn't work as efficiently. But if you're using it for a reasonable volume, it is a fantastic tool. Recently, for a client, we were having trouble processing because the volume of the data was high in terms of updating the table. Dell Boomi took about ten hours, but I know tools that could have done this in less time. Dell Boomi is probably not designed for these things; if you push the limits and try to anyway, it breaks.

Many bugs, not accurate, but easy to navigate
My advice to others wanting to implement Microsoft PowerApps, they should do research on the connectors that are available compared to the competition. This will speed up the time to their end goal because Microsoft doesn't have many. The general support documentation that is available on using the tool, compare them with the other solutions to make a decision on what solution to use. They don't have many resources yet that are qualified in Microsoft PowerApps or Microsoft Power Automate. I rate Microsoft PowerApps a four out of five. Microsoft PowerApps needs a lot of fixes and improvements, and the competition is way far ahead compared to Microsoft at the moment.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Boomi AtomSphere Flow is integrated through APIs, it exposes the API and any product can call the APIs in the queue. Additionally, it is secure."
"In the long run, if you have a good team, solution architect, and an architect from Boomi's side, then it is a good tool from an ROI perspective since it can help save money."
"The solution's most valuable feature is its core integration with Boomi AtomSphere because it's extremely easy to tap into any informational system of a company."
"Boomi AtomSphere Flow is very easy to develop and maintain compared to other tools like SAP HANA Cloud Integration or Cloud Platform."
"Time to market is most valuable because you can make apps pretty fast. It also has pretty good integration."
"Ability to generate QR codes and scan barcodes."
"The most valuable features are low-code and fast development."
"The solution is excellent at figuring how to build an application in three months. It makes it very quick and easy."
"The solution is very good. It's very full. You can do almost anything."
"The most valuable feature is the completeness of the concept. It is not restricted by where you are allowed to use it and that is its greatest strength."
"Can design apps quickly and can connect to any database."
"It’s a stable product."

Cons

"The development effort with Boomi AtomSphere Flow is more when you compare it with other tools, which is a drawback and an area of improvement."
"The solution could improve by being more user-friendly. The whole solution is used through an interface and it could always be improved."
"The solution's user interface building needs improvement."
"Its stability could be improved."
"When we talk of integrating with external applications, that's one area where, even today, I had to loop in my code developers. If this area can be streamlined so that my techno-functional consultants, who are on-site, can immediately start working on something without the assistance of developers, that would be ideal."
"Improvements to the capturing of geographic locations and integration with maps would raise my score of the product from seven point five to its maximum of ten."
"Microsoft is not cheap. The pricing could be lowered for their customers."
"We'd like to see more integration capabilities in the future."
"It would be good if this solution supports standard BPN operations. We are thinking of switching to a BPM solution next year because it is not a BPM solution."
"Microsoft could streamline monitoring and management. In addition, it should be easier to put the solution in different environments. For example, you should be able to move from a dev environment to a production environment seamlessly."
"The editor in the Web browser could be improved because it can be difficult to implement the commands in the buttons."
"Most of my training for what I do has been by watching or learning in the community. There needs to be better training on either one of these."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Since its pricing positioning has a different construction with respect to its competitors, the solution is sometimes way more expensive and sometimes less expensive."
"When you use Boomi AtomSphere Flow in production, you have to pay for licenses. The solution is not expensive but it could be cheaper."
"The company has a subscription where you can use certain features for free, but there are features that require a premium subscription to use."
"It is comparable to other similar solutions."
"For me, it was free to develop with a professional license, which is about 70 euros a month."
"There are areas of Microsoft PowerApps that can be improved. For example, the license policies are expensive to purchases the premium connectors. If a company would like to use the premium features, they have to pay a lot of money. The Microsoft PowerApps portal could be easier to use when there are a lot of external users because if a company has 1,000 external users, it is too expensive to use the Microsoft PowerApps portal."
"The price for the license could be more cost-effective."
"One of the main things about this solution is the price. The cost for Salesforce is $35, $25, or $10 per user per month. PowerApps costs much less than that. It is at a good price point. It may change in the future, but at this point, its price is pretty fine."
"It depends on the subscription of Office 365 that customers have. With some subscriptions, it's possible to use PowerApps."
"I pay nine dollars monthly for the subscription to this solution and the price of the is reasonable."
