Improved network security through detailed device tracking and proactive threat management
The best features that Check Point Antivirus offers are numerous, especially its ability to segregate each device into partitions on the same page, showing all connected devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, laptops, and cameras. It provides details like the brand name, model name, host name, IP address, and MAC address in differentiated categories, allowing for easy tracking of what devices are connected to the internet. This is a significant positive aspect of Check Point Antivirus that many other devices lack, and it aids in day-to-day work. With our limited internet IP scope of only 512 IPs, users often connect multiple devices like two phones, two tablets, and smartwatches to the internal network. At times like this, I, as an IT admin, can log in and block specific mobile devices and peripherals, excluding laptops, desktops, access points, and switches, to free up IPs. Check Point Antivirus has positively impacted my organization by having a pre-inbuilt antivirus, which is stored within the Check Point devices, scanning each endpoint device connected to the firewall. When a threat is detected on any devices connected to the internal network, Check Point Antivirus provides immediate pop-up alerts before a user even notices the issue, keeping users informed and advising them to refrain from connecting their devices to other networks within the organization.

A highly stable solution that protects computers from viruses, spyware, and hackers
ZoneAlarm doesn't require much maintenance. You only need to update the application when there are any latest updates. ZoneAlarm is deployed on-cloud in our organization. With an increase in the bring your own device concept, ZoneAlarm should be part of every device to help us make the operational work very easy. Overall, I rate ZoneAlarm a nine out of ten.

"It has blocked many malware attacks aiming to corrupt and damage company data."
"Check Point Antivirus is a cost-effective security solution for businesses and that's why its acceptability by various other fields and organizations is humongous."

"With Check Point, we can implement security measures to control access to the network and systems, which helps prevent unauthorized access."
"A very good and robust antivirus solution."
"ZoneAlarm protects all computers from viruses, spyware, and hackers."

"It is quick and easy to configure."
"Personally, I find the Game Mode of the Firewall very useful."
"The solution really focused on giving more security than an antivirus."
"This antivirus is regularly updated, and the updates can be scheduled."

Cons

"Check Point Antivirus could be improved by having the gateway automatically run a packet capture on the traffic so that it can be easily uploaded to TAC in the event that there is a false positive or if the traffic is required for further investigation."
"The biggest thing would be the ability to update the SMO's and gateways through Gaia instead of always completing it through the command line."
"The initial setup and configuration should be simplified."
"There needs to be more internally connected systems in order to achieve real-time effectiveness."
"We would like to see better guides in the future with more concrete examples of the best practices."
"When there are many devices, it is more costly since each device requires unique login credentials."
"Overall I didn't personally face any issues while implementing Check Point Antivirus."

"We'd like better performance of the network equipment. There are high-speed environments where an immediate response is required."
"They need to update and improve the features available for Mac."
"I would like it to be integrated with the Check Point centralization solution like Infinity Portal. It would be great to be able to manage it through the same website."
"The support is not always so effective."
"They should release a single update with all the necessary characteristics to avoid being in a cycle of consecutive updates."
"Some of our users say that the interface is a little bit outdated for 2020, and want it to be more modern and cozy."
"The solution's efficiency in threat containment and overall protection needs improvement."
"Currently, the client is only available for the Windows Operating System but it would be good if it were released for Mac OS as well."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Check Point Antivirus is an expensive solution, especially for clients that don't have as many endpoints. Check Point Antivirus has a free trial for one month, and within the trial period, there's no limit to the number of endpoints it can support, but when the trial expires, you'll have to buy the license, which covers one year. You can't buy a license for the solution without being a Check Point partner first."
"Check Point Antivirus is the most economical solution."
"Check Point Antivirus is a good solution, but it's a little costly."
"Choosing the correct set of licenses is essential because, without the additional software blade licenses, the Check Point gateways are just a stateful firewall."
"We are paying 2,50,000 Sri Lankan Rupees annually which is the fixed charge."
"The pricing is very expensive. You need to buy the appliance and subscription as well."
"The pricing is reasonable, with a yearly renewal license costing seventy dollars."
"This is a freeware product and I recommend using it."
"I rate the product pricing a seven out of ten."
"We use the free version of the software, but it can be upgraded to the paid Extreme Security edition."
"We have to pay a yearly licensing fee for ZoneAlarm, which is cheap."
