Helped reduce complexity or development time and intuitive to use
A customer registers on our platform. We perform a lot of validation. We call services from different applications to validate the user's identity, PAN number, and other information against government records. We apply a sequence of business logic to validate the customer before registering them for the application. When we initially built the registration system for our application, we used Power Apps and Power Automate to perform the validation. We call different services through Power Automate to validate the input given by the user. Currently, we use web services, SQL connectors, and a self-connector. We choose the connector based on where we are getting the data from. Moreover, the visual design experience wasn't complex. It was easier, as usual. The overall experience is good. The user interface and everything are very intuitive, and we were able to easily consume all those services.

Takes complex workloads away, provides smooth integration, and is by far our favorite integration product
It is used for customer onboarding and HR self-service. We are using it in finance as well. We are using its latest version. It is a cloud-native product. It is on a public cloud. We use their service. They're an iPaaS provider Before this, we would've to build a lot of manual requests into our…

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Connectors are very useful for streamlining data integration tasks."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Azure Logic Apps is the many available connectors that make automation easy. Additionally, the security of the solution is good."
"The solution's most valuable feature is the no-code/low-code feature."
"Logic Apps helped reduce complexity or development time. For example, if we get documents in the form of images, we can use Logic Apps to extract information from those images. This simplifies our efforts compared to originally using Microsoft APIs to do the same task."
"The solution has plenty of good valuable features and a plethora of services."
"The product's most valuable feature is scalability."
"We can write external features and transfer the data using JPIMs securely which has been most valuable."
"If we are working with a service-oriented architecture, as an architect as a baseline, it supports us very well in terms of expandability, and the kind of robustness it brings, especially with its serverless nature is fabulous."
"It's easy to understand, makes flows and is efficient."
"It is easier to use than other technical open-source technologies."
"Their automation and workflows are very strong, and you can build the workflows very easily and quickly."
"It is very easy to use. It takes complex workloads away, and it provides very smooth integration. It has got a lot of out-of-the-box connectors. It has got a lot of out-of-the-box APIs, which makes it really easy to integrate with applications for different use cases, whether it is in finance, HR, or customer operations. It is by far our favorite integration product."
"Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"Workato is low code, intuitive, and easy to use."
"The most valuable features are easy integration, quick tab to develop, quick tab to market, and interactive integration platform."

Cons

"The solution could add an AI version to make it easier for people."
"Microsoft Azure Logic Apps could have more customization options for connectors."
"There could be custom code for the product's components."
"The pricing could be improved."
"The standard logic app could be simplified. Thats what we would like to see in the next release."
"Not all connectors are readily available, though. There are two types: managed connectors and app connectors. Some connectors require you to provide a username and password to connect to platforms like SharePoint or Salesforce. Due to security constraints, some users may prefer not to use these connectors. Instead, they might opt for the HTTP connector."
"Pricing and handling asynchronous processes are the two main areas that need improvement."
"The solution should include more connectors."
"It is tedious to make a tailor-fit function."
"I would like to see the dashboarding and reporting processes improved."
"A limitation is that their cloud presence is only in North America and Europe."
"Workato's Extract, transform, and load (ETL) and extract, load, and transform (ELT) are not very strong and could be improved for very complex transformations."
"The only minor drawback would be if there was a UI at the front of it, for apps and for a portal as well, it would make it really easy. It would be really useful if there were more apps capabilities."
"The management dashboard in the solution is an area with shortcomings that needs improvement."
"From the deployment point of view, our customers encounter platform downtime where it does not serve the actual request on the systems."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product is quite cheap."
"The tool's cost can vary depending on your specific use case. Generally, it's considered cheaper, but the price depends on how much you use it and which features you need. Initially, there was a consumption-based pricing model, but now Microsoft offers a standard tier. Microsoft encourages users to migrate from the consumption model to the standard one by 2025. The pricing is a monthly fixed cost, depending on your usage needs."
"The pricing is okay. It's not highly priced. It's in the medium range."
"Logic Apps is cheap with its pay-as-you-go model. We only pay for usage time, no license fees. So Logic Apps is good in that aspect."
"It's very cheap, but it comes with pluses and minuses. The positive thing is that it's very cheap, but on the other hand, it's extremely hard to tell how much it will cost. At the start of the project, it's almost impossible to tell how many times you will be calling some kind of Logic App function. You cannot state how much of the internet transfer you will use or how much data your will use."
"If we are comparing to other public cloud vendors, such as Amazon or Google Cloud platform, I wouldn't say that it's expensive. However, when we're comparing between a host such as GoDaddy or Digital Ocean, then it's a bit on the expensive side."
"In my experience, Microsoft Azure Logic Apps is not a cheap solution."
"The price of Microsoft Azure Logic Apps is inexpensive."
"Workato is an expensive solution."
"Speaking about price, I would say that it's market-related. Also, there are costs in addition to the standard license fees since different add-ons depend on what you require."
"On a scale of one to ten, the pricing is around a six. We have a consumption model and the pricing is higher. If you are using any kind of ML-based approach, machine learning, or some advanced analytics, you may have to pay more."
