What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The product is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The solution is suitable for all types of businesses.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The product is affordable. It is becoming more complex, with more elements required in the solution.
What other advice do I have?
Avast Business Hub offers a variety of security offerings on a hosted managed basis or as SaaS.
We have to purchase the infrastructure it runs on and acquire licenses for it, which requires months of planning and negotiation. It is targeted more towards retail consumption but can be adapted for small and medium-sized businesses. The content is convenient for businesses, depending on how it is packaged and wrapped.
My recommendation depends on the nature of the business. If it's a strictly security-sensitive organization, I would recommend a more specialized solution, but Avast Business Hub is fine for general-purpose use cases.
Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Hybrid Cloud

Product Consultant at a comms service provider with 11-50 employees
Stable, scalable, easy to use and easy to install, but the security could be better for the free version
Pros and Cons
- "It warns you if there is a threat and it's perfect because it runs in the background and doesn't interfere with anything."
- "I would like to see better protection and more spyware included with the free version."
What is our primary use case?
I use this solution to protect against viruses.
How has it helped my organization?
N/A
What is most valuable?
It's easy to use.
It warns you if there is a threat and it's perfect because it runs in the background and doesn't interfere with anything. As a free product, it is top of its class, with this solution installed I am not concerned about threats to my PC.
Overall, it's really good.
What needs improvement?
I would like to see better protection. That's what you want from an antivirus solution.
Maybe with the paid version, you get more but for the free version, it could be limited.
I would like to see better protection such as prevention from hacker attacks and fake websites.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Avast Free Endpoint Protection for a couple of years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It's a stable solution. It just runs in the background with no problem. I have never had an instance where it has interfered with the normally running of my PC.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Yes, I believe that it is very scalable and is suitable for individuals and organisations.
How are customer service and technical support?
I have not had to contact technical support as the product is stable and does what it is designed for, no frills, just good protection.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Previously, I have used McAfee. McAfee is really good, but you only get a trial period, and then you need to pay. I had to reinstall it on my computer recently, and McAfee comes up.
I'm on the one-month free subscription but it does get irritating because it keeps popping up, wanting me to pay for it.
How was the initial setup?
The installation is easy. It takes less than five minutes to download and install.
What about the implementation team?
I completed the installation myself via website download.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I am using the free version.
I know that if you pay for it, you get better protection such as hiding your pc behind firewalls, hacker threats, data protection and webcam shielding.
What other advice do I have?
I would absolutely recommend this solution and I have recommended it to others
I would rate Avast Free Endpoint Protection a ten out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Hybrid Cloud
