I am a Senior Principal architect and technologist in Dell Oracle Solutions engineering lab. After being an Oracle DBA/Oracle Apps DBA in several major IT organizations for 11 years, in 2006 I joined Dell Enterprise Solution Engineering as a senior architect that focus on design and architecting enterprise database solutions and cloud architecture based on commodity server/storages, network, Linux/Oracle VM, Oracle RAC, Oracle ERP applications. In April 2010, Oracle ACE program accepted me as one of 51 Oracle ACE Directors around the world at that time, a group of officially recognized experts with strong credentials as Oracle community enthusiasts and advocates.
So far I have published 30 Oracle technical whitepapers and given over 120 presentations at major Oracle technology technical conferences worldwide (refer to my Oracle blog http://kyuoracleblog.wordpress.com/ for all the my papers and presentations and technology discussions). I was granted Dell most prestigious “Customer Experience Legend Award” by Dell executive management in 2008 and two times Enterprise Relovoluntary awards by Dell Enterprise Organization in 2011. In April 2011, I received the industry prestigious Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) 2011 Innovator of the Year award for my creative work on virtualization technology. At Oracle OpenWorld 2012 conference, I was given the Oracle Excellence Awards Technologist of Year for Cloud Architect by Oracle magazine.
I have been active in the Oracle user community by taking several key roles in IOUG Oracle RAC SIG such as president and co-founding IOUG Cloud/virtualization SIG in 2011 and served IOUG Collaborate conference committees and have served on Oracle's Customer Advisory Board for EBS Technology. In March 2016, I was selected for IOUG Spotlight IOUG Member Spotlight: http://www.ioug.org/page/ioug-member-spotlight I co-authored the Apress book "Expert on RAC 12c" which was published in August 2013.
