Ubiquiti is a very cost-effective and reliable solution for WLANs if your needs are relatively simple. Ubiquiti's line of APs and switches are a great fit for most small to medium size businesses that only need VLANs, a few SSIDs and secured WIFI networks. The wireless…

Hard to make a recommendation with zero details about your use case. But assuming your use case originally justified Cisco Catalyst switches (implying enterprise to medium-size business) I don’t recommend changing. The Cisco solution provides a greater feature set that can…

Unifi switches are great for a cloud managed, low cost switch solution in non=profit and small/mid businesses. Just make sure you have some cold spares for each model switch you have as they can sometimes be hard to replace quickly if you have a failure. I find them very…

My favorite aspect of Meraki MS switches is the central cloud management implementation. Meraki doesn’t just add cloud management per device you can make changes to multiple ports across all switched on the network. Powerful feature not possible on a lot of platforms.

Both are great. Xen is a little easier to learn but both will get the job done. Xen recently changed their free solution to not have as many features. It's more on par with Proxmox for features in the free solution now.
