F5 originally manufactured and sold some of the industry's first load balancing products. In 2010 and 2011, F5 Networks was on Fortune's list of 100 Fastest-Growing Companies worldwide.

The company is separated into 2 businesses: TmaxSoft and TmaxData. Currently, TmaxData is run as an affiliated company. The company started as a middleware solution provider. It is now the largest provider of enterprise software systems in South Korea, as of 2007 and is a member of the JCP. Its middleware products include Tmax, JEUS, and the WebtoB.
