TmaxSoft is a South Korea-based multinational corporation specializing in enterprise software. It was founded in 1997 by Professor Daeyeon Park, former Professor at KAIST. The company is separated into 2 businesses: TmaxSoft and TmaxData. Currently, TmaxData is run as an affiliated company. The company started as a middleware solution provider. It is now the largest provider of enterprise software systems in South Korea, as of 2007 and is a member of the JCP. Its middleware products include Tmax, JEUS, and the WebtoB. Other products include Tibero, ProSync, Sysmaster, ProFrame, OpenFrame, and big data solutions.

In 1998, VMware was founded by Diane Greene, Mendel Rosenblum, Scott Devine, Edward Wang and Edouard Bugnion. Greene and Rosenblum, who are married, first met while at the University of California, Berkeley.
