We performed a comparison between Dynatrace and JenniferSoft based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic and others in Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Observability."We have been capturing all the information and evaluating whether it can be improved or not."
"Dynatrace has multiple features that I need, but I love that you can analyze traffic, including any bottlenecks. I also find the tool user-friendly and has an easy-to-navigate interface."
"RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and the PurePaths, where you can see the stack trace, are helpful in finding problems."
"Being able to drill down into the PurePaths to get to a solution is key for us."
"In terms of AI, I love the base-lining Dynatrace provides us. It baselines the application over a seven-day period; we have it at the default of seven days. The artificial intelligence is so amazing because it can automatically track each transaction and their response times: how much CPU they use, how much memory, resources that they use. If there’s any deviation from that Dynatrace will tell me like right away. If there’s a deployment and the deployment has increased response time or is taking up CPU or has caused a memory leak, I can say, “Hey guys, you need to look at this, it’s this function on this page in this microservice, in this docker container. You need to go here, you need to fix it, it’s not going live.” It has just increased our productivity off the charts."
"Its monitoring and key purpose capabilities are the most valuable. It provides the root cause of problems and helps peers join the war room."
"We setup triggers for certain critical events. When these events happen, alert notifications are sent to the support team to take immediate action."
"For stability, our customers have no complaints."
"The dashboard is a valuable feature."
"I do know that for the size of our organization, we're talking thousands of agents and hundreds of applications, it does get to the point where the servers themselves that house Dynatrace are at a point where, in some cases, they are just too big for one machine, since you have to have an entire application ecosystem all funnel into a single system."
"It needs improvement with proprietary protocols for the DC RUM part."
"The product has no storage."
"So far, we have not achieved the benefit of preventing issues."
"Training is required for all of the people who will be using it, and this should not be overlooked. I would even recommend nominating an SME in each of the three areas covered: user behaviour analysis, development, and infrastructure/operations support."
"Its price, for sure, should be improved. Its price is quite high. Other than the price, there are always improvements to be made as technologies change. When we move into cloud-based technologies, Dynatrace will also have to adapt so that they can monitor those as well. It should have the adaptability to quickly transform to monitor those new technologies."
"Its pricing could be better. Dynatrace has an option to monitor the end users to see what they are doing, but it required a separate license and had an additional cost. It was coming out to be expensive, because of which we didn't use the feature."
"We would like to see more external tool integration, which is critical for us."
"The solution is pricy and has room for improvement."
