We performed a comparison between Dynatrace and Nutanix Kubernetes Engine NKE based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Container Monitoring solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Dynatrace alerts are based on deviations from the reference metrics which are constantly collected."
"A very powerful solution for the end user."
"With PurePath, I am able to find the root cause of the error or bug existing in our system."
"We can see issues that occur, sometimes before the clients do. Before we have client (or end user) calls for issues, we are able to start troubleshooting and even resolve those issues. We can quickly identify the root cause and impact of the issues as they occur, and this is very helpful for providing the best client experience."
"It provides a better understanding of what is going on."
"The solution's ability to assess the severity of anomalies based on the actual impact to users and business KPIs is great. It's exactly what we need. The severity impact is based on the users, the availability, and the impact it has on your business."
"I think one of the most valuable features is the Dynatrace API, for both metrics and configuration."
"The most valuable feature is, I can quickly go to the PurePath and find the problem in the application. I can say that it provides me a way by which I can quickly find the root cause of the problem."
"The solution is easy to manage. You can get everything in a single platform. It is also easy to work with Terraform as a code."
"We can add some add-ons and plugins to the product if we need to."
"The most valuable features of the Nutanix Kubernetes Engine (NKE) are its simplicity and efficiency during the initial cluster creation phase."
"Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"The technical support is excellent."
"The product integrates well with our infrastructure."
"We can do a lot of provisioning."
"The solution is embedded in the hypervisor and there are no deployment costs."
"It would help if Dynatrace allowed more features that work with metrics like Grafana or New Relic."
"I would like to see single pane monitoring."
"With Linux or Windows, it automatically takes care of everything, so there's no need for you to do any manual config changes. But when it comes to AIX - because I implemented it two weeks back - you have to go back to kind of an AppMon approach, where you instrument agents for .NET applications. So if Dynatrace could make those changes and make it automated, that would be one of the biggest action items."
"It could improve its GUI interface. The GUI design is too crowded and the icons are small. Sometimes I end up clicking on the wrong button."
"The initial setup was challenging for us. However, it was complex until you grasped the nuances of the product and the building blocks."
"Some of the analytics that you get in, e.g., a waterfall analysis of a web page could be clearer. A lot of that is not directly attributable to Dynatrace. Sometimes a vendor will implement a tag or JavaScript plugin that's named something entirely different than what it does. This makes it difficult to track that from the waterfall list, figure out where exactly that component is, and dig more into what it's doing. Dynatrace could probably improve a bit on that waterfall layout to make it clearer as to what exactly is there. It does a wonderful job of telling you what loads and when, but it could be improved in terms of telling me what exactly it is loading."
"JIRA integration should be enriched and more granular."
"I would like to know if classes and methods selected in "Method Sensor Rules" were changed in the applications, and not depend on the developers to warn us."
"I have issues with the product's interoperability."
"GUI lacks sufficient information to help with understanding the installation and process."
"I would like to have more nodes for availability and storage."
"The product lacks some virtualization capabilities, making it an area for improvement where the solution can focus on providing users with more virtualization capabilities related to disk systems."
"Areas for improvement in Nutanix Kubernetes Engine (NKE) include upgrading management capabilities and enhancing the user interface for improved usability."
"We need a backup of production clusters."
"There have been challenges related to software bugs, especially regarding long-term licensing options and issues within our customer network."
"In the next release, I would like to have automatic dynamic scaling, both upscaling and downscaling."
