Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature of Juniper Wireless Access Points (AP Series) is the ability to troubleshoot ports on the network. Additionally, when there is an update on the APs they are able to reboot quickly reducing downtime. Other solutions have a longer downtime when updates are done.""The most useful feature of Juniper Wireless AP is the reporting Marvis.""The solution is pretty generic and easy to use.""The solution is very secure.""The AI capabilities of Mist Wireless are superior to other OEMs.""The simplicity is great.""In terms of reporting, in terms of all the user reports, it's very rich.""Overall, we've been very pleased with the performance."

"Natural language patching is an important feature.""It's really easy to provision and support. Those are its main features.""Mist AI and Cloud have definitely improved the functioning of our organization. The access to the Internet, including its speed and reliability, has significantly improved.""AI-driven automation helps implement the solution quickly.""I have a very good experience with the solution. Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.""There are several valuable features. One of them is Cibas, and another one is Marvis.""The triangulation feature can be used to determine where a person is in relation to the access point.""The Marvis feature of Mist AI, an artificial intelligence tool, is very useful."

More Mist AI and Cloud Pros →

"It's highly scalable as long as the licenses are in place. You can expand it easily.""The performance of this solution is amazing in terms of radiofrequency technology.""The actual wireless access points themselves are very powerful.""The best feature of Ruckus Wireless WAN apart from its seamless roaming feature where you roam beautifully on the network is its analytics tool that gives you so much insight into your deployment, so it has become more of a business intelligence type of tool as well. I also like that Ruckus Networks, in terms of WiFi security issues on the WiFi protocols, is also the first company to give you notices of security issues, and also the first to provide patches for those issues. Ruckus Wireless WAN is very proactive and much, much faster than Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki.""Ruckus Wireless WAN is simple to use. Its coverage is better than other tools.""We found the technical support to be helpful.""Ruckus has multiple radios. Therefore, it supports high speed for users and clients. Other vendors have fluctuations in speed. The main thing about Ruckus is that you can trust it and rely on its speed. I am simply satisfied with it.""The solution is suitable for many types of environments, such as small businesses."

Cons
"Improving third-party integration is key for Juniper Mist's next release.""Juniper Mist Wireless Access Points’ support services need improvement.""The solution is expensive.""Juniper Wireless Access Points (AP Series) could improve if the MIST platform had a built-in master key. This would be an advantage.""It would be helpful to have even stronger security features to help protect against interference from other nearby access points that aren't part of our network.""The price could be better.""Improvement is needed in the user-friendliness of Juniper Mist, particularly in enhancing the interaction with AI features.""If you want to do more specific stuff, it's a bit limited."

More Juniper Mist Wireless Access Points Cons →

"Sometimes it takes a lot of time for the access point to connect with the cloud.""Mist AI and Cloud need to improve the configuration speed.""The user experience should be improved. It's not user-friendly.""The solution has various licensing policies. It will be easy to use if it is an open single license.""Regarding opportunities for improvement in Mist, it is notable for its robust cloud portal and integration of artificial intelligence into various services, creating a highly efficient environment for work. However, a drawback lies in the cost associated with its WiFi offerings. With a pricing range of twelve hundred to fifteen hundred dollars for a single Access Point, exclusive of the subscription, it is acknowledged as a relatively expensive solution in the realm of WiFi services. Despite this drawback, the positive attributes of Mist make it a noteworthy option.""The solution lacks documentation.""There could be more integration.""There are some technical issues that may require attention"

More Mist AI and Cloud Cons →

"The stability of the solution could improve in an upcoming release.""I would like to see the billing system improved by adding a billing system integration.""They could include a firewall feature in the next release but even there it's not really necessary""Integration with AirMagnet, the design software, would be good because it takes the layout of a building and positions the access points accordingly, based on the areas and the construction materials.""What needs improvement in Ruckus Wireless WAN is the initial setup. It could be easier. Availability is also another area for improvement in the product. Another huge disadvantage of Ruckus Wireless WAN is the cost you must continuously pay for the licenses.""The documentation they do have is very difficult to understand. There should be some scenarios, deployments, complications, or techniques to follow. They are inadequate in that regard, and the documentation needs to be greatly improved.""I have been working with WiFi for more than 17 years. I am not able to convince customers because of the pricing of the solution. Otherwise, we could have sold lots of this tool to the customers.""So far, I find Ruckus Wireless WAN okay in terms of the technology and existing business network, but licensing could be more flexible, especially the IoT license that was changed to adapt to the IoT Controller and sensor subscription. The previous licensing method for Ruckus Wireless WAN was better. In my opinion, it wasn't a good decision to change it because the customer prefers the previous licensing over the current licensing. It's not only about the money in terms of licensing, but also about flexibility. The latest license change isn't as flexible. I also found the cloud solution not partner-friendly, so that could also be improved. Another area for improvement in Ruckus Wireless WAN is answering partner requests because currently, it doesn't seem easy for them. What I'd like to see in the next release of the solution is the AP having its MQTT forwarder. Ruckus Wireless WAN AP supports IoT modules now and to use the IoT modules, you need all IoT data to pass through the IoT Controller. If I could forward that IoT data directly to my environment, similar to what you can do with other solutions, that would be great."

  • "Juniper Wireless AP's price is a little more expensive than other solutions, but you get what you pay for."
  • "The pricing is something Juniper Wireless Access Points (AP Series) can work on. The pricing is very high compared to the competition."
  • "The pricing is too high."
  • "The solution is expensive."
  • "I rate Juniper Mist's pricing a ten out of ten since it is expensive."
  • "I rate the pricing an eight out of ten."
  • "The pricing is fair."

  • "The price of this product is approximately the same as competing products in the market."
  • "The price is about the same compared to other vendors. There is an add-on license, but it's up to you if you want to buy it or not."
  • "The price of Mist AI and Cloud is approximately 20 percent less than competitors, such as Aruba and Cisco. However, Cisco has a lifetime warranty for its solutions."
  • "The solution's price is too high for the end-users. My customers pay 1,000 USD towards the licensing cost of the solution every year."
  • "Depending on the features, I think it's quite reasonably priced, especially considering the facilities of the product."
  • "I rate the pricing a seven on a scale of one to ten, where one is low and ten is high."
  • "The custom licensing is a little bit expensive and I would rate it 7.5 out of 10."

  • More Mist AI and Cloud Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "The solution is a little pricey, so customers sometimes select other products because of the price."
  • "This solution offers a yearly subscription. The price is not high, other solutions are much higher than Ruckus."
  • "This is a wonderful product for the price."
  • "It's expensive but you get more coverage."
  • "Here in India, Ruckus is chosen often because it is priced low."
  • "Licensing for Ruckus Wireless WAN when you compare it to other vendors, it's on par and not expensive. For me, all licensing is expensive by default, but you do get lifelong licenses, and what's cool about it is the license for Ruckus Wireless WAN, especially on the LAN controller, is not linked to an access point. It's just a quantity access point deployment, so you can rip out old APs, and put new ones in and they'll work on the wireless LAN because the license is not linked to a specific access point which is much easier to work with."
  • "In terms of the license of Ruckus Wireless WAN being cheap or expensive, it would differ based on your country. As I'm living in Turkey, it's expensive, so far. There is a big challenge about the chip crisis or the silicon crisis lately, and all vendors are fighting, so not enough equipment could be sold and the vendors must earn money, so it's very fair for vendors to push software and licensing to keep working and earning, so it's hard to answer a question on how cheap or expensive the license is for the solution."
  • "The price of Ruckus Wireless WAN is in the middle price range compared to competitors. You will find Cisco is the most expensive, the second is HPE and Aruba, and the third is Ruckus Wireless WAN. You then have all the follower solutions."
