Significant backup for containers, but the customer service is terrible
Odin Virtuozzo is a VIP hybrid solution. All the services we run on Proxmox are running on containers When you run templates on the containers on Virtuozzo they have a lot of back-ups. Odin Virtuozzo has poor support and needs to improve. They are located in Russia and do not provide good…

Offers numerous features in its commercial version
The initial setup of Oracle VM is straightforward. It's very well documented, and you can do it if you follow up on documentation. You don't need more than two weeks to deploy the solution. You need to check hardware compatibility and thoroughly plan the deployment process. Additionally, network configuration and migration steps must be carefully planned and executed. It's essential to acknowledge and address potential complexities. What is your network configuration, how is it set up, and how do we design your network? Network impact is significant, as are VLANs and these things. Once you have everything on paper, you can start to implement it. If it's VM migration, you will get a new VM. You start deploying a new application if it's the exact migration. Then, you must follow the migration steps to visit the application from where you come. One of the applications will give you steps to move from one system to a different one.

Cons

"Odin Virtuozzo has poor support and needs to improve."
"The solution is at its end of life and is about to be discontinued."
"Oracle VM should be promoted more as an open-source and stable software."
"Something that could be improved are the snapshots that go in the ZFS Storage. If you want to enjoy Oracle VM, you will definitely want it to go together with ZFS Storage to maximize on the snapshot facility."
"One is the hypervisor. Right now, it’s all using Xen. What would be really helpful is to have some choice, and the underlying hypervisor technology use KVM which is very popular with certain workloads."
"The only improvement needed for Oracle VM is the look and feel of the interface."
"I would say third-party plugins to other storage vendors. There are a lot of converged infrastructure setups; one that we have, multiple different hardware vendors. So that would be something we could definitely be looking for."
"It doesn't monitor everything, which is a little bit more difficult. It doesn't seem to have as many features or metrics to monitor as some others do, so you have to make some homemade scripts to do it."
"Oracle's VM VirtualBox is a powerful, free, and open-source virtualization tool. However, you'll have to read a lot of documents and perform experiments in test environments to make it work for you."
