Answered a question: Which product do you prefer: Sophos XGS 2100 or Fortinet FortiGate 100F?
Alexandre makes good points. However, I believe you've started off putting yourself at a disadvantage by not specifying what your requirements are. All good IT decisions come from getting clear on requirements first, not This-product vs. That-product. If both products meet…

Replied to Kowligi Prakash Looking for a piece of advice and tips on the deployment of VPN concentrators for SD-WAN tunnels?
@Kowligi Prakash, I looked at FatPipe *years* ago. I was intrigued by the technology, but the leadership I was under at the time didn't see the point. "Just get ISDN BRIs for the branch offices and an ISDN FG D / T1 for HQ."I didn't know you guys were still around! :)

Replied to MemphisGuy What are your recommended Layer 2 and Layer 3 network switches if the main consideration is performance?
@Sandeep Pandit, there are some legacy Procurve / Aruba switches that are examples. The 2930 series had a single area OSPF.
You were never going to use them as ABR or ASBRs, but they could participate in one OSPF area and had a great price point.

Replied to Dawie De Lange What are your recommended Layer 2 and Layer 3 network switches if the main consideration is performance?
@Dawie De Lange, definitely depends on use case(s), but Campus Fabric, a la Comware IRF, Juniper's offering (don't recall the name at the moment, QRX?), etc. can be useful.
Definitely nice on occasion to have a low maintenance truly "plug and play" campus network. Just…

Answered a question: What are your recommended Layer 2 and Layer 3 network switches if the main consideration is performance?
If the main consideration is performance, you won't go wrong with anyone in the Gartner Wired and Wireless Edge Networking Magic Quadrant Leader quadrant, i.e., Aruba / HPE, Cisco, Juniper / Mist, or Aerohive / Extreme
I've worked with all of 'em. It's never really the…

Answered a question: What is the best solution (lowest latency) to reach Edge locations that use 5G network to connect Point-of-Presence (PoP) devices?
Based on you using the term PoP I'm going to assume that the context of your question is Service Provider. Single Mode fiber (10 km or even 40 km) is the most obvious answer, but likely one of the costliest in securing Right of Way and construction costs.
Depending on the…

Answered a question: Looking for a piece of advice and tips on the deployment of VPN concentrators for SD-WAN tunnels?
Definitely look at Aruba EdgeConnect (formerly known as SilverPeak).
My main client has had them in production for years for five hospital campuses and their headquarters site. They have hardware appliances and Virtual Appliances.Assuming you go the VA route, make sure…

Answered a question: Which firewall product would you choose and why: FortiGate 200F or Sophos XG 310?
FortiGate. Fortinet is in Gartner Leader Magic Quadrant (MQ).
Sophos is in Niche Player Quadrant if I remember right.
You can never go wrong picking a vendor in the Gartner Leader MQ. Show the Gartner MQ to your leadership to get them on board too.
