It was founded in 1987 by five graduates of the California Institute of Technology Parasoft develops automated defect prevention technologies that support the Automated Defect Prevention methodology developed by Adam Kolawa. For cloud, SOA, APIs, and enterprise IT environments, Parasoft technologies automate practices such as integration testing, system testing, load testing, and penetration testing.

Qualys, Inc. is a provider of cloud security, compliance and related services for small and medium-sized businesses and large corporations based in Redwood Shores, California. It has added cloud-based compliance and web application security offerings. Qualys has over 7,700 customers in more than 100 countries, including a majority of the Forbes Global 100. Qualys was founded in 1999. The company launched QualysGuard in December 2000, making Qualys one of the first entrants in the vulnerability management market.
