We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It has high stability.""It is a good product. It provides network visibility, which is important. Gigamon can bring some optimizations to my network. It is helpful for security inspection, and it makes my firewall work fast because my firewall doesn't have to do the inspection of the SSL connections, for example.""The tool's most valuable feature is the encryption feature. From a security perspective, the solution hasn't significantly strengthened our security posture. However, it has greatly improved performance by streamlining encryption processes and avoiding encryption at multiple layers. This has also simplified troubleshooting, as we can whitelist certain processes.""It offers straightforward integration.""The most valuable feature for improving network visibility with Gigamon is the packet filtering capability.""The most valuable feature is NetFlow.""The solution is straightforward to set up."

"The feature I find most valuable is the single pane of glass where you can configure a monitor view, all from one dashboard. For example, on the wireless side, you can configure it under the configuration panel, and then view statistics like location analytics, user analytics, etc.""The initial setup was easy.""Scalability is one of Meraki Dashboard's strongest features. We have thousands of users if we're counting the end-users on our clients' network, but we have hundreds of clients.""We have found the client dashboard to be very simple to use, especially in our Meraki environment.""You don't have to be a network engineer to use it.""Great visibility on the dashboard.""It's a simple, functional solution.""We've been spending a lot less time on tickets and deployments, so we have more time to do other things."

Cons
"The security should be improved.""The Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline should have a feature showing the traffic flow within its platform. Currently, customers have to use separate tools for monitoring, which is inconvenient. If it had its visibility feature, it would make monitoring easier and more complete without needing extra tools.""It only inspects a specific kind of traffic. There should be different kinds of use cases.""The graphical user interface could be improved.""They should increase the solution's cluster capacity.""In terms of improvement, while the initial setup is not overly complicated, we did encounter a few issues.""Its filtering feature needs improvement."

"There is a bit of a problem when you try to log in and you don't have a fixed IP address. If you're granting access, you need to log in by using the IP address. If your administrator's IP address is not a fixed IP address and it has changed, you might need to update the changed IP address in the interface. For this, you need to log in to the interface to update the IP address. This issue might not have so much to do with Meraki interface.""What we would like from the IT perspective is a lot more granular control, more visibility into the packets, into the routing, and things of that nature.""What needs improvement in Meraki Dashboard is its configuration. It'll also be better if the tool has more functionality, and that is what I'd like to see in its next release.""They can improve the landing page in Meraki Dashboard. When I go into an organization, they can include a lot more infographics. They can also simplify it a bit and consolidate it. For example, if I've got five branches and I go into customer A's profile or organization, I'd like to see an infographic on the landing page providing a snippet of the entire network layout, that is, all branches in one snapshot. From there, I would like to go into the network that I want to work on or view.""It would be nicer if the dashboard was lighter.""The MDM, however, is bad. We're using another MDM now because Meraki was so bad.""The pricing for this solution needs to be improved.""Price could be reduced."
