We performed a comparison between Alteryx and Oracle Analytics Cloud based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Predictive Analytics solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."There are a lot of good customization capabilities."
"The most valuable feature of Alteryx is its performance. It is a powerful solution."
"Shortens the time required to start analyzing data and looking for insights, minimizing the tasks that do not add value to the business and maximizing the analysis phase."
"The GUI is simple and it integrates with Python."
"It saves time on a lot projects. "
"The scheduling feature for the automation is excellent."
"The feature that I have found most valuable for Alteryx is its geo-referencing feature, it is very good. I use it a lot, especially for supply chain."
"The most valuable feature for me is integration."
"Analytics Cloud allows you to merge various data types and structure data from multiple sources."
"The best feature may be data flow, which is used to prepare and clean data."
"The ability to quickly search for and access relevant data is crucial."
"It's great for consolidation and creating one source of truth."
"It's robust. It has the ability to handle massive amounts. After reporting has been developed, there is an ease of use or a user-friendly interface for a trained workforce."
"The technical support is excellent, and they respond quickly."
"The features that I find to be the most valuable are the BAS (Business Analytics), the Narrate feature, and the auto-visualization."
"The product is easily customized."
"Alteryx's predictive data models are pretty average and can be improved."
"I mostly used it for flat files, but I have many colleagues who reported that to tune a query, in case they want to directly connect to the database, there is no option to optimize the performance of the query, as we have in Informatica."
"The event handling, such that the file system watcher, is in need of improvement."
"There is currently no cloud solution and this would be valuable for many clients."
"It should have Linux support. It currently supports only Windows. It does not support any other platform. Its price should also be lower. Their US partner management program is actually unresponsive. One of the reasons why we don't have a formalized partnership plan with them is because their partner management team is atrociously unresponsive. This is something that they need to change."
"All of the reports are migrated or exported in an Excel file, and most of the time, a business intelligence tool is required. They could have better reporting. The aesthetic could be improved."
"It seems to me that it is not always user friendly."
"The solution just lacks in terms of data visualization. That is why we use Tableau and Qlik in our organization. They help to pick up the slack. If data visualization was added, Alteryx would be a very good tool, and much more complete."
"The product should be improved in terms of connectors; right now the top twenty connectors are available, but OneDrive and Teradata are missing."
"The interfaces could be improved and some in-memory operations could be built in."
"The price of the solution could be lower."
"The product could benefit from increased flexibility compared to other vendors."
"Oracle Analytics Cloud is lacking in charts. They should add more charts to it."
"Analytics Cloud allows you to merge various data types and structure data from multiple sources."
"When we have, for example, a table with low performance, we have several issues with drawing some graphics in the Oracle cloud."
"It's not a failure of the product; it's just an architectural choice. It has to do with data modeling. I'm comparing this to another product, which is Oracle's developer client and probably called Oracle BI Developer Client Tool. The data modeler, which is cloud-based, and Oracle BI Developer Client Tool, which is local or on-premises-based, both can do the same thing in data modeling. However, the cloud tool does not have as many features as the Oracle BI Developer Client Tool, which is closest to the OBIEE Administration Tool with full feature data modeling, metadata development, and so forth. In a complex environment or implementation, that is the capability that you need."
