"I have found one of the most valuable features to be the integrity of the backups."
"With regard to our operational requirements, Veeam is very good because it's so user-friendly."
"It's very easy to work with and it's very reliable."
"I know it's not exactly a feature, but I accept it works and it's easy to use. With the Veeam Backup & Replication, we have no problems in managing restore. Obviously, the most important thing about backup software. I used to say that every backup software can make backups, but only good ones can make a restore."
"The initial setup is very easy."
"It's scalable."
"Vendor integration for many of the enterprise features have allowed for us to have greater performance from our storage vendors further improving on our commitments to protect our clients' data."
"The advantage of Veeam Backup and Replication is that it is very economical. The price is affordable and the cost benefit is good."
"The implementation is straightforward."
"Veritas is simple and easy to deploy. In terms of the presentation and UI, they do their job well."
"Recovery via Active Directory is painless and much easier than the complicated setup procedures of other products."
"The solution is very fast. It does not take a long time to backup everything."
"This is a very flexible product, which allows you to back up not only the physical environment but also the cloud environment."
"The interface for this solution is excellent, and it is easy to restore files compared to other solutions."
"It is a good backup tool."
"I have found the overall features of the solution very good and there is the option to backup to the cloud."
"I would like them to move back to host licensing."
"Margins should not be distinct; instead, they should seamlessly integrate with the Veeam Backup and Replication tools, requiring minimal separation."
"There is room for improvement in the application backups, particularly for Oracle and SaaS systems. Veeam Backup & Replication offers a plugin specifically designed for Oracle and SAP HANA databases. In version twelve, they introduced enhancements that allow deploying the plugin from the backup server. However, manual configuration is still required on each server to schedule the backup and specify the backup repository. Additionally, transitioning from a Windows server to a Linux server requires converting the existing model. Previously, Veeam heavily relied on Windows and Microsoft SQL databases for their solution. Fortunately, in version twelve, they introduced an enhancement by offering the option to use a Postgres SQL database, which is an open-source alternative."
"Veeam is good up until 300 VMs."
"The remote SQL server has had multiple sizing issues within the logs and SQL backup space and sharing with other database apps."
"Additional executive summary reports for the entire infrastructure would be a nice to have."
"The Cloud version is not ready, they need maturity and ease of deployment in terms of management."
"I think Veeam needs to improve the file installation process, as well as more technical things like snapping feature issues. Sometimes during backup, when it's taking the scan snaps on the ESXi, it started and didn't remove the snapshot from there, which consumed storage on the EXSi. It could be improved with more technical depth. The response time for Veeam's technical support could also be improved."
"It's not too stable for client-server architecture. Center Management is not so interactive, and then there are some issues regarding the complex licensing which needs improvement."
"It would be nice to improve the backup acceleration and the fast restoration required."
"I would like to be able to create a restore task that can be scheduled so that the same restore action will be performed automatically."
"The EDR should be looked at, as the operating system is too weak."
"It is not a recommended software when it comes to large environments where there has to be a minimal Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and/or Recover Point Objective (RPO)."
"They can work on the issue of the job timing out when it is unable to reach a selection item. It sometimes hangs up on the selection item, thus preventing the job from continuing."
"Firstly, the GUI for 2014 is mostly confusing, i.e., if you need to add any additional technical features, then it doesn't require a change to the GUI."
"It could provide better ease of management than one of its competitors."
