Oracle OBIEE is scalable, with options for regional deployment and accommodating different infrastructure sizes, such as shade one setups. It offers scalability to meet varying business needs.

Throughout the versions we have used of Oracle OBIEE, they have been scalable.
We have more than 20 people using the solution. We have plans to increase usage in the future.
View full review »Accessing information about the platform can be challenging, and acquiring knowledge often requires purchasing training courses. This can make scalability seem difficult at first. However, it becomes much easier to scale once you grasp the complete structure and understand how Oracle OBIEE works.
I rate the scalability an eight out of ten.
View full review »The solution seems to be more suitable for enterprise-sized companies that are involved in serious businesses. At the same time, Oracle OBIEE is not a solution for users not used to working with such tools.
Our company has not been able to make any enhancements to Oracle OBIEE. However, the process would be relatively easy as we can easily add data sources. The reports are also simple to create. While I am unsure whether we have any servers for balancing at this moment, scaling up seems like a realistic and easy option for Oracle OBIEE.

Its scalability is very good. It's definitely one of its features for the last several versions. In the last project, there were about a hundred users. I'm probably estimating high.
I definitely have plans to increase its usage because I'm getting certified and that's my experience. So, I would like more people to use it.
It is a scalable solution. We have 120 users of the solution in our organization.

View full review »It is scalable, but it is very biased towards Oracle infrastructure. The biggest pain point is the alternative cloud support. They're very Oracle cloud-centric. If I need to do anything on our infrastructure that is AWS-centric or Azure-centric, there are loads of issues.
There are thousands of users, but right now, it's suffering from losing its users to Tableau and Power BI because of its various shortcomings.

View full review »Scalability-wise, it's pretty good. When you use it with an ERP system or with CRM applications, it integrates with SAP, Oracle-based e-business applications, and even the Microsoft stack.
Scalability-wise, you can leverage this product, and not only with an Oracle database. It can work with any database and with any heterogeneous source. It's very scalable and easy to maintain.
You can fund it well, scale it well and size it well; all of these things. It's a good product.
It's not distributed. You can’t do distributed scaling, per se. Whenever you use the algorithm, if that's the case, you can always use a RAC system or something like that. On the application side, you can use however many servers you want. You could redirect your traffic accordingly, based on different servers. You can cater to different customers or to different business end users, depending on their priority. It's pretty scalable, but not distributed in nature. For example, it’s not good for big data analytics and that kind of stuff.

Oracle OBIEE is scalable, we are using it on a global level.
Given the size and scope of how we use it, every change requires significant effort, some of which is internal. It is managed by our IT department. To make large-scale changes and integrate new systems, I believe a small army is required. The heavy lifting is done once they're all set up, and once they're in there and running, the actual maintenance and minor tweaks are fairly simple. This requires a much smaller skeleton crew.

It is a scalable product. It should meet our future needs.
It is a product where you have to initially set it up and position it for the future requirements so that the analysis part takes place properly. Based on that, you can get proper outputs. You can build it upon your stack, scheme, marks and dimensions.

From a infrastructure perspective, from 11g version onwards OBIEE runs under weblogic where we have the DOMAIN concept, by default, after installation OBIEE runs under one node which represents the server where it is installed, and you have an option to scale up to other nodes, thus increasing the compute power .
