Enhanced security with user-friendly interface and excellent technical support
Pros and Cons
  • "The most valuable aspect is the seamless integration and robust compatibility of other tools."
  • "A significant drawback is its cost for the hardware requirements that is important for optimal performance which makes it less accessible and potentially impractical for many users globally."

What is our primary use case?

I frequently use extensive virtualization, managing multiple virtual machines for various tasks. Security is a top priority for me, and it hinges on two critical factors. Firstly, security software's effectiveness in detecting and responding to potential threats. Secondly, the underlying Windows system's reliability relies on regular updates from Microsoft. These updates, often in the form of security patches, play a crucial role in addressing vulnerabilities and ensuring the overall security of the Windows environment.

How has it helped my organization?

The use of TPM 2.0 is appreciated for its role in encrypting communication between the processor and RAM. Despite not being a prominent feature, this encryption is crucial for preventing potential attacks from penetration testers and hackers. By securing this connection, it significantly reduces the risk of a fundamental system breach. Even if a new operating system is installed, the underlying security remains intact, highlighting TPM as an essential security measure.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable aspect is the seamless integration and robust compatibility of other tools. The standout feature, known as the Linux App System Forwarded, enables the use of Linux commands within the Windows environment. Previously, I had to install specific Linux distributions to achieve similar functionality. Now, I can effortlessly enjoy both Windows and Linux simultaneously, making it a highly beneficial feature.

What needs improvement?

A significant drawback is its cost for the hardware requirements that is important for optimal performance which makes it less accessible and potentially impractical for many users globally. One notable additional feature is Windows Defender, an antivirus software by Microsoft. While it may not compete with other antivirus programs in terms of recognition, it serves its purpose effectively for many users. There's room for improvement, especially in the firewall aspect. Enhancements in the firewall's capabilities would elevate the overall security of the system.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with it for a year now.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It provides excellent stability capabilities. I would rate it nine out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It doesn't follow a scalable model; instead, it leans more towards specific hardware requirements. Currently, acquiring new hardware can be quite costly. At the moment, we have a total of forty PCs.

How are customer service and support?

I recall having a few instances where I needed technical support, and I must say, the assistance provided was truly impressive.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I used a different solution, but I switched to Windows 11 because  security holds paramount importance for me, and any new acquisition in this regard always receives significant attention. The focus is primarily on refining and resolving issues to ensure effective protection services.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was quite easy. I would rate it eight out of ten.

What about the implementation team?

The deployment on hardware typically takes a total of twenty to thirty minutes. Typically, I navigate to Google and use the Media Creation Tool for Windows 11, enabling me to download the trial version. Subsequently, I installed it on a USB drive and connected it to the PC. Booting from the USB drive makes the process straightforward - I select the destination and network EFI system, then follow the steps. It requires no maintenance.

What was our ROI?

We accomplished a ninety percent of ROI.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing is affordable. There are no additional add-ons or extra payments – just one initial price, providing everything needed.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I evaluated FEMCO, however, despite its user-friendly interface, not everyone is acquainted with the vendor. Windows, being the most popular choice, aligns well with my preferences.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend ensuring the acquisition of proper hardware. Some unofficial sources or tweaks may claim compatibility, but it's crucial to rely on reputable ones for optimal performance on a PC and to fully leverage its capabilities. Understanding the cost and having a well-thought-out migration plan is also vital when contemplating a new operating system. Overall, I would rate it eight out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

What about the implementation team?

We have in-house tech expertise to handle deployment.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The licensing is expensive, but it's value for money. Many people need it for deployment in Windows environments. It's very much required at this time.

An easy, intuitive and fast solution that boosts productivity
Pros and Cons
  • "The tool is very stable and I don't recall a time the screen went blue which was common for Windows 7. The product's installation is fast. If I have any issue that prevents me from booting Windows 11, it will automatically run into auto-repair mode and fix those issues. Windows 10 had this functionality but it wasn't good."
  • "I would like to add a frontend to manage the virtual machines that are installed in Windows 11. It should also improve security which includes patching the vulnerabilities."

What is our primary use case?

I use the solution for my everyday tasks. I use it to run my Office suite.

What is most valuable?

The tool is very stable and I don't recall a time the screen went blue which was common for Windows 7. The product's installation is fast. If I have any issue that prevents me from booting Windows 11, it will automatically run into auto-repair mode and fix those issues. Windows 10 had this functionality but it wasn't good.

The solution runs perfectly and there are no stability issues.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Windows 11 is a very scalable product. In the past, we had to reinstall the OS. However, with Windows 11, all you have to do is type in the new key. My company has ten percent of users for the product. Most of the machines are still using Windows 10.

How are customer service and support?

I do my own technical support and I haven't faced any issues that would require assistance from Microsoft engineers.

Efficient window management and stable
Pros and Cons
  • "One valuable feature is the ability to snap windows to different sections of the screen, which is especially useful on big screens."
  • "I have noticed a difference in audio option."

What is our primary use case?

I mainly use it for normal operations.

What is most valuable?

One valuable feature is the ability to snap windows to different sections of the screen, which is especially useful on big screens.

Additionally, I like the tabbed interface in the command prompt, which helps me multitask while working on network analysis and other tasks.

What needs improvement?

I have noticed a difference in audio options when connecting my JBL headphones. In Windows 10, I had two options for meetings and general audio, with better bass in the latter.

However, in Windows 11, I only have one option for audio, and the bass is not as good as it was in Windows 10. I miss that feature.

I would like Windows 11 to have the same audio options as Windows 10.

For how long have I used the solution?

I currently use Windows 11. I've been using it for the last two to three months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate the stability a seven out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Currently, I would give it a seven because I'm still fully exploring it to understand its strengths and weaknesses.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is straightforward, similar to Windows 10. If you're already familiar with Windows 10, it won't be a problem.

What about the implementation team?

In our organization, Windows 11 is deployed on end-user machines.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing could be a little bit high, but personally, I'm using the free upgrade from Windows 10. So I've taken advantage of that.

What other advice do I have?

Overall, I would rate the solution an eight out of ten. I would recommend you to give it a try. It might work well for them, but they should also continue testing it until they are confident it meets their needs.

Highly scalable and has a good GUI
Pros and Cons
  • "The search bar and graphic user interface (GUI) are my most valuable features."
  • "There is room for improvement in terms of security."

How has it helped my organization?

It has been very good, better than Windows 10. The graphics have improved, and there have been many changes.

So, overall, the latest version is very good, especially in terms of operation.

What is most valuable?

The search bar and Graphic User Interface (GUI) are the most important features for me.

What needs improvement?

There is room for improvement in terms of security.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have worked with Windows 11 since the beginning. We have been using Windows 11 since the day of its release. So, we used it for two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate the stability of Windows 11 an eight out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I would rate the scalability of Windows 11 a ten out of ten.

Currently, there are over a hundred users using Windows 11. We plan to increase the usage.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is very easy. I would rate my experience with the initial setup a ten out of ten, with one being very easy and ten being very difficult.

The deployment takes 30 to 40 minutes.

What about the implementation team?

I deployed it myself.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It is expensive. The license is not priced per month or per year. It's a proprietary license that costs high.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I previously used Windows 10.

What other advice do I have?

I would definitely recommend using Windows 11 because it is easy to use, and more options are available.

Overall, I would rate Windows 11 a ten out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

A stable and scalable solution with good technical support
Pros and Cons
  • "We are migrating from Windows 10 to Windows 11 due to end-of-life, security concerns, and end-of-support. The tool's configuration is good and we are satisfied with it since it's a Microsoft product. We didn't face any hurdles in using the tool. We didn't feel much difference with both Windows products. The solution is good because in IT we want to secure our data. Nowadays, data is the most valuable thing. If your data is secured, then you are secured. I think that everyone has to move to Windows 11 since Windows 10 is facing end-of-life and end-of-sales, probably by 2024."
  • "Whenever there is an update, a black screen appears which is due to patches being installed in the background."

What needs improvement?

Whenever there is an update, a black screen appears which is due to patches being installed in the background.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with the product for more than an year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate the tool's stability a nine out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I would rate the product's scalability a nine out of ten and my company has about 2000 users for Windows 9 and Windows 10. We will shift to Windows 11 soon by next year.

How are customer service and support?

Technical support is good. However, we do not need technical support because we can Google and find support.

How was the initial setup?

I would rate the product's setup a nine out of ten since it's easy. The tool's deployment takes around 20-25 minutes to complete.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My company purchases licenses in bulk for 2000 users.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate the solution a nine out of ten.

We are migrating from Windows 10 to Windows 11 due to end-of-life, security concerns, and end-of-support. The tool's configuration is good and we are satisfied with it since it's a Microsoft product.
