Dramatically improved EHR performance by implementing XtremeIO AFA. Before we did this, backups were running around 10 1/2 hours each night - meaning the start of each day in the Practice was severely impacted by IO latency (up to 100ms!). Even when backups finished, this large 2TB database was responding in around 30ms. Implementing XtremeIO cut backups to 1.5 hours. Database latency is now consistently below 1ms, the Doctors notice HUGE gains in system responsiveness, and the project has been a tremendous success. No reliability problems at all in well over a year.
