Lexmark was formed on March 27, 1991 when IBM divested a number of its hardware manufacturing operations, including printer and printer supply operations, to the investment firm Clayton & Dubilier & Rice, Inc. in a leveraged buyout. The name Lexmark comes from a combination between "lexicon" and "Mark".
Salesforce.com is a cloud computing company headquartered in San Francisco, California. Though its revenue comes from a customer relationship management product, Salesforce also tries capitalizing on commercial applications of social networking through acquisition. As of 2015, it is one of the most highly valued American cloud computing companies with a market capitalization of $50 billion, It is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the S&P 500 index.
