We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"What I like the most is the Wiki software that comes with Atlassian Confluence.""This solution allowed us to easily input details beyond just text, such as creating basic data charts to monitor team performance.""Many people enjoy its zero learning-curve.""The most valuable feature is the accessibility from different sites for different colleagues and the search option.""The most valuable feature of the solution stems from its document-controlling feature. In Atlassian Confluence, controlled documents cannot be edited by anyone else.""The search functionality is a really powerful feature.""The solution is stable.""What I find the most valuable about Confluence is how easy it is to use."

"Image management is great since the search is simple, and accessing images with labels is easy.""Ability to share documents.""We use Microsoft OneDrive for file sharing without the need for additional hardware (such as flash drives or external hard drives).""It helps you keep organized.""With this solution, the sharing of documents if very easy to do. There's a lot of collaboration you can do with your colleagues.""The feature that I have found the most valuable is that Microsoft OneDrive works with any Enterprise Cloud Solutions Office app. You can edit a document on the cloud, share documents with your colleagues, and monitor changes. You can access your work almost anywhere. You can also sync Microsoft OneDrive with your workstation so that whatever you are working on gets automatically backed up to the cloud at regular intervals. So even if your system crashes, you still have a copy of your documents in the cloud, which I found very useful.""It's pretty easy to learn. Once someone taught me, I was able to navigate it quite easily.""It is simple to use and it allows me to give me the opportunity to access anything I want from any device."

Cons
"We have to use other applications that make Atlassian Confluence more customized for what you want. They should improve by adding the ability to make more customizations.""Atlassian needs to provide the source editor or a built-in plugin.""The way Atlassian Confluence handles tickets could be improved.""The roadmap feature should be made easier to work with and modify. It's not really scalable.""Atlassian should rethink its withdrawal of the self-hosted version of the product. They only offer cloud-based service or the "datacenter-edition", which is quite expensive for small companies and private users.""I have a couple of different pipelines that I work with. However, I'd like to see them displayed differently on the same dashboard. So, I would like to have a unified dashboard to view the different pipelines.""Atlassian Confluence could improve how information is shared outside our company. We had some negative experiences with the rights we have with our information when sharing it within Atlassian Confluence and with other teams outside the company. It's due to the limitations on the rights we have on the export capabilities. We don't have sufficient rights to do so.""The user interface is a little bit stale. The file attachments and how they work could be improved. There is also room for improvement when it comes to CDNs."

More Atlassian Confluence Cons →

"It takes too long for OneDrive to synchronize various applications, especially when you are saving office data. It also requires too much bandwidth.""The user interface sometimes fails and when it cannot connect, it does not give the reason why.""The initial setup is not easy.""It is not very stable because there are a lot of bugs.""The area that can be improved is to be able to share easily with folks outside the organization and with folks who don't have an office account. Sometimes, when you send a link, you might have some form of repetition. If you don't know how to share it properly, whoever you are sharing it with will have issues using it. Also, the link that you use to share a document can be made a bit shorter. It doesn't have to be long. Typically, when you want to share a document, it has everything, such as the name of the organization, SharePoint, etc. A short URL will be easier to use, and it will just make life easier, especially because a lot of people are now going mobile. I'm not sure if there's a mobile version of Microsoft OneDrive, similar to Google Drive. If they don't have a mobile app, it would also be nice to have a mobile app because that would help in checking out your documents. It would be easy to check your documents on the go on your phone.""The website could be improved. Sometimes I try to login and the website has issues, I can't retrieve my documents.""The scalability has room for improvement.""Recent functionality changes have actually made the product more confusing to use."
