We performed a comparison between Seqrite Endpoint Security and Trellix Endpoint Security based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The most valuable feature is the analysis, because of the beta structure."
"This is stable and scalable."
"The setup is pretty simple."
"It is a scalable solution...The initial setup of Fortinet FortiEDR was straightforward."
"We have FortiEDR installed on all our systems. This protects them from any threats."
"The solution was relatively easy to deploy."
"Fortinet FortiEDR's firewalling, rule creation, monitoring, and inspection profiles are great."
"The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration."
"The only thing that I have found useful is that I have an overview of my systems in the networks."
"The product's initial setup phase is easy."
"We found the DLP to be innovative and useful."
"The convenience has been great."
"In case it works, we are looking to use features like USB blocking, file upload alerts, and other antivirus features as well, but this software has to work first."
"The overall performance of the server and the dashboard are the most interesting aspects of the solution."
"I like Seqrite's web protection features and external device control."
"The most valuable features are the file activity monitors, DLP solutions, and application controls."
"The new central console is better than the earlier one."
"The product helps us by contacting us if there are any virus attacks on our system."
"There is a new feature where you can set thresholds for all the CPU consumption allowing for no consumption on the servers when the scans happen. It is a separate plugin or addon, and if we have it on all the virtual machines it automatically checks the resources, and based on that, it will schedule the scans. That is something that I have not seen in other antivirus solutions, such as Symantec."
"The solution provides dashboard control, so we can centrally monitor the entire status of our organization."
"The solution is stable."
"I think the costing is fine compared to other products. Cost-wise you definitely get value for your money."
"The DLP and user interface are the most valuable feature."
"It is a stable solution...The solution's technical support is good."
"Making the portal mobile friendly would be helpful when I am out of office."
"The solution is not user-friendly."
"Once, we had an event that was locked and blocked, but information about it came to us two or three days later."
"To improve Fortinet, we need to see more features and technology areas at the endpoint level introduced."
"I haven't seen the use of AI in the solution."
"The EDR console should have more extensive reporting. You shouldn't need to purchase FortiAnalyzer. It should be included in the EDR part. The security adviser cloud platform could be improved with more options for exclusive or intensive rules for devices."
"The solution's installation from a central installation server could be improved because the engineers had a little bit of trouble getting it installed from a central location."
"Everything with Fortinet having to do with their cloud services. They need to invest more in their internal infrastructure that they are running in the cloud. One of the things I find with their cloud environment compared to others' is that they go cheap on the equipment. So it causes some performance degradation."
"When it comes to the support provided by the product, I see that Seqrite is not as mature as the other products in the market."
"User management could be improved."
"I don't feel that the scalability part of Seqrite Endpoint Security is better than the other products in the market."
"A handbook of known issues and quick fixes should be given so that troubleshooting and frustration are less."
"I would like to see Seqrite add a remote profile so we can implement different policies for users connecting to the in-office LAN and those accessing the office network from home or a public internet connection."
"The pricing could be a bit lower."
"The solution needs to improve stability."
"It should be able to detect and report any ransomware attack but currently, it doesn't detect and it doesn't report any."
"The local technical support could be better."
"The resolution time should be faster."
"Signatures to protect against new attacks."
"It would be nice if the solution were to allow not just on-cloud management, but on-premises, as well."
"If there's a possibility for remote assistance or investigation support in the future, it would be beneficial. Currently, we use another remote software for such purposes. If this feature could be included in the next version, that would be an improvement. The feature is called Remote Administration. I'm somewhat satisfied, but there's an issue I recently encountered. When attempting to scan a suspected host machine, Symantec Endpoint Security did not provide any alerts. However, when we installed Malwarebytes and ran a scan, it detected a threat that wasn't identified by Symantec. We raised this concern with the team for resolution, and the investigation is still ongoing."
"The solution could use better updates and fewer bugs."
"Sometimes, while installing the ePO, we were getting so many errors and I don't know why it happened."
"McAfee GW Security and McAfee Child Safety need some improvement as they are relatively new."
