What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is very stable. I rate the stability a ten out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution is scalable.

You cannot work from your mobile application. You don't have a Command One interface to do the old stuff. For data centers or different solutions, you have many more features and more capabilities. I rate the scalability a seven out of ten.

How are customer service and support?

The technical support team is good.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I previously used UniFi. With UniFi, you need to have a controller in the cell phone on your devices. Once you do have the controller, you cannot access it, and you will have to troubleshoot. You need more control and this may be more complicated.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is straightforward. The deployment takes six to fifteen minutes.

What other advice do I have?

I rate the overall solution an eight out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

On-premises

A simple and cost-efficient product that needs to provide better scalability options to its customers
Pros and Cons
  • "The cost and simplicity of the product are its most valuable features."
  • "It is not a very scalable solution."

What is our primary use case?

In my company, I use Aruba Instant On Switches to manage enterprise connectivity.

What is most valuable?

The cost and simplicity of the product are its most valuable features.

What needs improvement?

The product's drawbacks are limited. Aruba Instant On Switches doesn't provide my company with the flexibility that we were expecting from it. The scalability of the product is also limited, because of which we cannot install it on a large scale in our company. In my company, we cannot manage Aruba Instant On Switches in a very easy manner, making the overall tool a little bit complicated to set up and run. The aforementioned areas can be considered for improvement in the solution.

In the future, I would like to see Aruba Instant On Switches with some AI features that can help run and operate the network while also helping its users spot any issues and fix them.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Aruba Instant On Switches for a year and a half. Since Aruba's support contract covers my company, we always get the upgraded and latest version of the solution.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is a stable solution, but it doesn't meet the standards we expect in our company. It is a simple product to use. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is not a very scalable solution. Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a six out of ten.

Around 70 people in diverse roles, including executive to system technicians, use the solution in my company.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

My company has worked with products from Cisco, like two years ago. My company chose Aruba Instant On Switches over Cisco due to cost-related reasons.

How was the initial setup?

The solution is deployed on a private cloud, and my company uses the cloud service provided by AWS.

What other advice do I have?

The maintenance part of the solution is taken care of by a system integrator from Aruba's partner.

The product's shortcomings limit the operations of the daily work in our company. Shortly, my company plans to look at other products in the market.

Customers need to consider the drawbacks of Aruba Instant On Switches before buying it.

I rate the overall solution a six and a half out of ten. To be more precise, I rate the overall solution a six out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Private Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
