FortiGate Cloud-Native Firewall (FortiGate CNF) Reviews

We use the platform for virtualization, malware protection, and VPN client support.

They should offer more affordable renewal options or flexible plans for license upgrades. It would make the product more accessible to a wider range of users.

We have been using FortiGate Cloud-Native Firewall (FortiGate CNF) for the last eight months.

The platform has good stability.

The platform is mostly suitable for enterprise businesses.

The initial setup is complicated. It requires technical experts to set up firewall communications easily. It takes a few days to complete.

It is an expensive platform.

We have been using FortiGate Cloud-Native Firewall for a few years now. It is the most stable and recommended firewall. Users with less technical knowledge can easily manage complex network and security components using it.

I rate it an eight out of ten.

The FortiGate SNF application extends FortiGate's firewall minimum capability and services to protect the loads. Like on FortiCloud, you can access your firewall remotely from anywhere, remote location, from wherever you are. You can access multiple FortiGate features from FortiCloud, multiple devices, and hardware. We can have different devices and apply these things. 

The SFN is great. I have found it a mostly well-known feature in the market, and customers are finding it really helpful for their production environment.

It is easy to initially set everything up. 

The solution can scale well.

It is stable and reliable. 

Right now, there are two options in it if a customer has two designs. They each independently have to have their own DNS. I'd like them to add a DNS option for FortiGate.

I've been using the solution for three years. 

We have found the solution to be stable. There are no bugs or glitches, and it doesn't crash or freeze. 

The scalability is good. It can expand as needed. I'm satisfied with it.

If there are multiple devices used, it can handle more people. The newest model is very useful, for example, from an infrastructure and multi-requirement perspective. I have been able to achieve good bandwidth and throughput. Depending on how many users, we adjust the hardware requirements. 

While I have not contacted the FortiGate team for any kind of support, in the future, if I need any kind of assistance, I will readily contact them.

The solution is simple to set up. If a person has a background in security and networking, it won't be an issue for them to deploy it. 

The product does have an end-of-life, and you can maybe deploy it for six or seven years; however, it's typically five years. After three years, we need to update our security and product hardware to improve things. 

For the main deployment, you need a few people to handle it. That said, if you have an idea of the infrastructure, wireless, switching, routing, et cetera, you will not need extra people. A single technical person can deploy it if they have the customer requirements. 

We are able to deploy the solution if we have all of the customer requirements. 

We provide licenses to our customers. We also handle renewals. 

I am presenting the vendor company. I am not on the customer side.

I'd recommend the solution to others. FortiGate is better than many brands and is active in terms of features and being able to handle multiple areas of security. 

I'd rate it nine out of ten overall. 

ATP ( Advanced Threat Protection) next-generation firewall is the most valuable feature. 

There is room for improvement in terms of support. 

I have experience with this solution. 

The solution is very expensive. I would rate the pricing out of ten, where one is expensive and ten is low price. 

Overall, I would rate the product a five out of ten. 

I primarily use FortiGate for web filtering, IPS, DDoS protection, and IP segment VPN in an enterprise environment.

The tool's documentation and online resources availability have been valuable.

The solution needs to improve on box clustering and IPS configuration.

The initial setup was very easy. Two resources are needed for the deployment. One resource can maintain the product, which is easy. 

We can get ROI with the tool's use. 

The tool's licensing costs are cheap and yearly. 

I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
