An endpoint security solution that provides web filtering and USB blocking, but its stability could be improved
Pros and Cons
  • "We had the cloud suite of KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud, and its monitoring was fine."
  • "The solution’s stability could be improved because we earlier faced an issue where the solution was not detecting file-less malware."

What is our primary use case?

KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud is used as an endpoint security solution. It can protect the endpoints or users from any malicious download. You can also use the solution for web filtering and USB blocking. The solution has a lot of other policies like behavior analysis and in-built AI.

What is most valuable?

We had the cloud suite of KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud, and its monitoring was fine.

What needs improvement?

The solution’s stability could be improved because we earlier faced an issue where the solution was not detecting file-less malware.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud for two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud is quite a stable solution. Earlier, the solution was not detecting file-less malware. Currently, I rate KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud an eight out of ten for stability. Earlier, I would have rated the solution a six out of ten for stability.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud is a scalable solution. Around 100 users used the solution in our organization.

How was the initial setup?

KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud’s initial setup is straightforward.

What about the implementation team?

The solution was deployed in our organization through an in-house team. Deploying KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud takes hardly any time. You just have to download the agent and link it on the dashboard.

The vendor from whom we purchased the licenses gave us the basic steps for downloading the client from the cloud and how to use our account to activate it. Once we downloaded the agent, we copied it onto each PC or endpoint. Once we installed it and the agent was running, it connected to the cloud. Then, we used to go to the dashboard and check whether the PC was online.

What was our ROI?

Our company has seen a return on investment with KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud because we have used it for over seven years.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We had to pay an annual licensing fee for KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud. We did not pay any extra costs in addition to the standard licensing fees for the solution.

What other advice do I have?

I used the latest version of KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud.

KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud's agent was on-premises in our organization, but the dashboard and the server were on the cloud.

Just one desktop support person can maintain KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud.

I recommend the latest version of KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud to other users because it checks and scans for all types of malware.

Overall, I rate KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud a seven out of ten.

What other advice do I have?

Considering the blocking of applications done by the product, I can see some logs and how the tool has prevented malware attacks. The product had also detected a virus in one of our company's pen drives, and I can see that it was the only virus detected so far. The product helps to deal with cyber attacks or cyber threats.

The product has impacted areas like the management and deployment process since my company can't host our servers for our network. The tool is very helpful since it is a cloud-based solution.

The product provides the ability to maintain our company's security since we can separate uses into groups and provide separate policies for separate groups, making it a process that is really easy to manage.

I have used the product's reporting capabilities, and it has helped me detect viruses.

I recommend the product to those who plan to use it.
