AppDynamics announced that its Application Intelligence Platform now supports customer applications running an expanded suite of services from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
AppDynamics offers the same performance monitoring, management, automated processes, and analytics for applications running on AWS that have been available for applications running on-premises. With the AppDynamics release in summer of 2015, applications deployed on AWS are now instrumented to provide complete visibility and control into an expanded set of AWS services, including Amazon Simple Queue Service (Amazon SQS), Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), and Amazon DynamoDB.
Does this new addition prove helpful to you? Do you believe integration Amazon AWS is a valuable feature?
Yes to both. Enterprise applications are increasingly being deployed as a distributed mix of both on premise and cloud platforms. To get an overall view of application health, cloud deployed components need to be instrumented like any other component.
