What is our primary use case?

We deal with Oracle Database products as part of the suite of products we handle as a systems integrator. We use it primarily for scalable business analytics across various industry verticals, including manufacturing and high tech. We employ enterprise-grade analytics tools for rapid scaling.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is the ease of dashboarding and ease of reporting. This feature is important because the sooner we can spin up executive dashboards, the quicker executives can act on actionable insights. This agility enhances business flexibility. 

Additionally, Oracle excels in providing actionable insights and flexible access to data. The product is also excellent for data lake and lake house setups.

"I would rate the scalability a seven out of ten. It has some problems. Databases are huge. This leads to needing more and more RAM and capacity resources, making it hard to scale. Because of this, we use Exadata. That's definitely a point for improvement."

What is our primary use case?

We use it for a medium-sized company and for databases. The database is installed on it because it's best for the database. Efficiency and performance are good for the database as compared to other servers.

I work on different general sites, website applications, servers, Linux, etc.

Oracle Database and Oracle Database Appliance are two different entities. 

On top of Oracle Database Appliance, Oracle Database is usually installed for better performance and security. 

How has it helped my organization?

It improves data processing. To improve data processing with a Database Appliance, we first identify the database size, the number of users accessing it, and the workload type. Based on that, we determine the appropriate amount of RAM and processors required.

Enhanced performance and simplified operations with integrated features

What is our primary use case?

Usually, we are using Oracle Database Appliance mainly for running the Oracle Database. One of our use cases I had before was deploying a Kubernetes cluster on Oracle Database Appliance with features of virtualization. 

We can deploy our microservices-based application on the Kubernetes cluster, which is running on Oracle Database Online. It's not just a monolithic application or VMs. We can make a cluster of VMs to host microservices applications.

How has it helped my organization?

Oracle Database Appliance provides the required performance for many customer needs. With its features, we don't have to configure the network, storage, or receivers individually; everything can be managed from a single point, which makes operations much more straightforward and efficient.

What is our primary use case?

Database consolidation and for X6-2L also database performance improvement due to NVMe storage being used, which dramatically increases I/O performance

What is most valuable?

We value the appliance architecture with its “everything-in-a-box” highly standardized setup.

For the new ODA X6-2 models there is a possibility to deploy also SE/SE2 databases in a bare-metal deployment as well as the boosted I/O performance due to NVMe Flash disks.

What is our primary use case?

The IFS application is an ERP solution that uses the Oracle Database Appliance. When our company sells IFS to customers, they often require Oracle Database Appliance support. We provide that for our custom market customers. We manage data stored in databases, overseeing dashboards, and occasionally monetizing the data. 

Our support involves patching, upgrading, downgrading, and managing migration processes for our customers. Our customers lack knowledge about technologies, managing databases, and initiating processes. They rely on us to provide the necessary support.

How has it helped my organization?

Nowadays, we try not to use the Oracle Database Application for our customers or new customers, maybe because Oracle pushes us to use their software.

What is our primary use case?

I have been working as an Oracle consultant for more than fifteen years and have dealt with several customers with several use cases who seek a simple database for usage. Some of the customers whom I have dealt with are into data warehousing, while others were some big banks and so on. In general, I have dealt with a very different set of customers.

The most valuable features of the solution revolve around its performance, simplicity, and its installation phase.
