We can now provide a single source of truth and build a bigger picture.

The data preparation. We have high reporting needs and the data is stored in many different tools. We are moving to predictive analysis too. Still, we need an easy to deploy solution until the IT department finds a better solution to connect all data sources.

The learning curve is long, and there is lack of e-learning; the tool is not user-friendly to a non-technical user.

No stability issues.

No scalability issues, if it is accompanied with centralization or the organization has a strong top-down culture.

I would rate tech support five out of five. The team is willing to work with you and help with any difficulties.

We were using Oracle BI, and we are still using it. The value add of Alteryx is the agility for making changes, and speed of deployment.

The seat is too expensive.

I am using the desktop version. The only issue is it supports only a 64-bit system so I have to use an earlier version.

My advice to regarding this product is to keep learning and not rely too much on the support team.

The drag-and-drop functionality, the ready-to-use analytics module, and the ability to track my data pipelines visually are the solution's most valuable features.

From a commercial standpoint, more options should be available for pricing. The licensing model needs to be specific.

I have been using Alteryx for five years. 

The product is stable. 

The tool is scalable. 

The technical support is good and professional but not always quick.

The initial setup was simple.

The designer license costs 5000 euros. The server edition is 1000 euros. 

I would rate the solution an eight out of ten. 

Alteryx is mainly used for data workflows and data preparation.

The Alteryx designer has been the most useful feature in the solution.

Alteryx can improve in data science. They have to have more features and components in the data science aspect because they claim to be a data science tool. However, in order to be more competitive, they have to improve on their data science propositions. Thre are other solutions on the market, such as other players in the market, Data2Go or DataIQ, and Alteryx needs to catch up.

I have used Alteryx for approximately three years.

Alteryx is a stable solution.

The scalability of Alteryx is good.

The technical support from Alteryx is good.

I rate the support from Alteryx a four out of five.

The initial setup of Alteryx was straightforward.

The amount of people needed for the implementation depends on the use case. It can vary from one to five data engineers and data scientists, but if it is a very large project, you might need 10 people involved. It all varies on the size of the project and the use cases.

There have been cases where people were building some data pipeline manually or building some reports manually, and they used to take one month. After the implementation of Alteryx, the turnaround time has been reduced to 10 minutes or maybe in some cases, a couple of minutes. If the timeframe or effort is coming down from one month and with multiple persons working to a couple of minutes automated, there is a huge volume of ROI.

My advice to others is before implementing the Alteryx, they need to be very sure about their use case. Based on the use case, they should plan the implementation.

I rate Alteryx seven out of ten.

I have multiple clients that are using this solution and the use cases can be very specific to the domain they are coming from. 

I am an Alteryx designer and I have been trying to fine-tune the operations. Most recently I have been getting more involved with predictive analytics. I am transitioning from the ETL to an advanced analytics platform and then doing the seamless integration with the BI tools. These are the areas I have been exploring and currently, I am only working on use cases that are very specific to this area.

The solution could improve in the visualization. There is a reporting palette available, but I do not think organizations would rely just on that one pallet. We need a BI tool for larger implementation reporting. The visualization cannot just be the basic visualization but immediate reporting.

When comparing this solutions' BI tool to major competitors, such as Tableau and Power BI, the competitors both massively use visualization and dashboarding whereas this solution does not. However, this solution is much further ahead in other areas, for example, deployment. When it comes to just the visualization it not fair to compare these solutions.

I have been using the solution within the last 12 months.

The solution has been stable.

What I know of the solution it can scale very well.

I have not used support very much in the past. However, during the one or two cases when we had to use the support, we received a solution from them promptly.

The installation is fairly simple and straightforward. We had no issues with the implementation.

Previously I have used consultants for the implementation but I can now do it myself.

There is a license required for this solution.

I have previously evaluated Tableau and Power BI.

I would recommend this solution to others.

I rate Alteryx an eight out of ten.

We're using the solution primarily to clean up some of our customer CRM data and to integrate it with some of our Salesforce requirements.

The UX (user experience) is quite good on this solution. The UI (user interface) is also excellent.

The solution has a very strong community that is involved in the product. It helps make the usage easier and helps us find answers to our questions.

For the most part, the solution is very complete, and there isn't much missing.

The designer license lacks a few features that the server has.

There's a big jump in terms of pricing between license tiers. I'm not sure I understand why the price jumps are so high.

I've been using the solution for just over a year at this point. It hasn't been too long.

The stability of the solution is very good. It's reliable. We have not experienced issues like bugs and glitches. It doesn't crash.

Only a small number of people use the solution in our organization. There are about four people on it. They are a mix of engineers, architects, and some data integration specialists.

There is a possibility to scale the solution. For the designer license, it's quite possible. Another server may be required, however.

The technical support has been very good. I'd rate it ten out of ten. We're quite satisfied with the level of service we've been provided. They are helpful.

We did previously use R and Python solutions before we switched to Alteryx. They were okay, but a bit difficult to work with.

Alteryx is easier to set up and implement. It allowed us to also focus on different aspects of the business.

The initial setup is simple. It's very straightforward. I wouldn't describe the implementation as complex.

Deployment takes about an hour if a user is installing the regular application.

The solution does not require maintenance.

In terms of the installation, I had to request the process from IT. However, it was fairly simple. I did the initial implementation of the platform. That said, I did require the help of some of our data scientists. It was all in-house. We didn't require the help of an integrator or consultant.

I don't have any idea how much the solution costs. I don't deal with that aspect of the solution. I do believe the pricing is publicly listed on their website.

We're simply users of the solution. We don't have a professional relationship with Alteryx.

We're currently using the designer license, however, I'm not sure of the exact version I'm currently on right now. I believe it is the latest version.

There's a 14-day free trial for those organizations that would like to try the solution before they commit to anything.

I would recommend the solution, 100%. It basically has everything we need. While we don't have all the features on offer in our particular license, it does have everything we need, and if our needs change, we can always move up to the next tier.

I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

I use Alteryx for integration, data integration, and advanced analytics with several companies.

Alteryx integrates well. The most valuable feature for me is integration.

I can read data from a database on the web and import it into my Alteryx database.

It is very easy to use. 

It's quite user-friendly, which I enjoy.

The workflow and pipeline need to improve. For example, if you have a job running, and you need to run another, the scheduling could be easier in Alteryx.

In the next release, I would like to see the completed pipeline, improved workflow with data, easier, and better scheduling to allow tasks to run one after the other.

I have been using Alteryx for one year.

We are using the latest version.

The Alteryx server is running on an EC2 AWS computer, and we have the desktop version installed on our notebooks.

Alteryx is a stable solution. We had no issues with bugs or glitches.

It is easy to scale.

Technical support is very good.

It took us two years to implement Alteryx in our organization.

I would recommend this solution. I like it.

I would rate Alteryx a nine out of ten.

We are mainly using Alteryx for data preparation and processing data. 

We are also monitoring for some of our customers, in product analysis, regressions or customer segmentations, and column correlations analysis.

The GUI is simple and it integrates with Python.

For the area in Alteryx, such as the server the prices are high and it would be better to reduce the fees.

Some of the new tools in the intelligence Suite are the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and the Natural Language Processing (NLP) language for English characters. We are hoping that the NLP features will also support Chinese characters.

We started carrying Alteryx in February of this year, 2020.

Alteryx is a stable product.

This is a very scalable solution. For every organization or company, there are a few data scientists working with Alteryx. For some of the enterprise, they have a team of five working with this solution, whereas others have two.

Community support is good, but I have not yet contacted technical support. I am not able to assess them.

As a Data Scientist Platform, Alteryx is the first platform that we have worked with.

I have worked with IBM and some other vendors from Hong Kong.

The initial setup is easy, straightforward, and simple.

Within hours, I can have the designer up and running.

The price for Alteryx Designer is reasonable but the price of the Alteryx Server for universal collaborations is too expensive.

I am currently doing a comparison between Data IQ and Alteryx.

Most of our clients in Hong Kong are on-premises because they don't want to share the data on the Cloud.

We use several other products because we want a unified platform for our customers.

If you have experience with Excel, macros, or VBA then you have a great foundation to use Alteryx.

I would rate Alteryx an eight out of ten.

We use this solution for self-service data preparation from data warehouses and data marts.

It gives the power back to the end-users. It brings flexibility and accuracy to our new analytics.

The most valuable feature of this solution is data preparation.

Alteryx Connect (data catalog) is also really important for us.

The event handling, such that the file system watcher, is in need of improvement.
