Hello peers,
I am an Enterprise Data Architect at a large retail company.
I am currently researching Data Science platforms.
What's the best tool for analysis and analytics out of SPSS or Alteryx? Which has greater capabilities in terms of self-server and self-discovery when analyzing data sets?
Thank you for your help.
Alteryx is much easier to install, learn, build with R and Python capabilities...
Plus can handle big data... SPSS is legacy.
Alteryx Definitely. SPSS is an old product et very outdated as compared to the new tools such as Alteryx or Knime.
SPSS has a better performance than Alteryx. It has a SQL pushback function, it generates nodes from table and graphs, the decision tree graphs are easy to read and it has CHAID which has an easy-to-read multi-branch decision tree. The feature Selection node can rank the variables with the highest statistical explanatory power across categories and values. It is very useful for factor analysis.
