Arpit Raj Senapati - PeerSpot reviewer
Easy to set up with good functionality and adaptability.
I'm not sure how it could be better. It has everything I need for my work. It would be ideal if there was more research on the product available. We'd like it to have solutions within the product that can help us complete tasks a bit faster. It would be nice if the solution had some sort of bot or assistant within the solution to help us with work within the product. If we could deploy queries and get an answer faster, within 30 minutes, instead of within a day or two.

Beneficial user interface, flexible, and good support
Microsoft Visual Studio is scalable. We have an assistant director and software development using Microsoft Visual Studio in my department. In the whole company, there could be hundreds using Microsoft Visual Studio. In my department, they do not like Microsoft Visual Studio, but across the departments, we will increase the usage of Microsoft Visual Studio.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I am impressed with the tool’s documentation."
"The UI is really good."
"With the alliance with Microsoft, the product is perfectly integrated."
"Without Adobe Flash player, I wouldn't be able to do my day-to-day functions."
"Adobe Flash is simple and easy-to-use software. It is very familiar and compatible with other Adobe software, making it easier to use."
"One of the most valuable features is its support. It's easy for me to get support even though I never use it. If there's a bug or a performance issue, Microsoft also provides quick updates, and this is another valuable feature of the program."
"It is easy to integrate with GitHub. We integrate with GitHub, and we deploy our solution on our local system. We need this integration for pushing our code. When we were working with Eclipse, we had to write everything in the command prompt, which is a little bit tricky, whereas Visual Studio is very much UI-based and simple. So, it's very easy to integrate GitHub with Visual Studio. It is much easier than Eclipse."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Visual Studio is how easy it is to access all the basic templates for development. There are so many features you get with Visual Studio that it's really helpful for the deployment, the development, and the intelligence behind it."
"I like that it works fine and that it performs better than competing products. I'm very happy with Microsoft Visual Studio."
"While you're coding, it's really nice to be able to print stuff out and make sure that all the data is being organized the way you want it to be."
"The solution is stable, and it has no issues."
"It is pretty simple to set up."
"The valuable feature is that it provides a basic template for everything and built-in debugging tools. They definitely save me time."

Cons

"It would be ideal if there was more research on the product available."
"At times it can be slow, but other than that it is a great and helpful product."
"It would be nice to have more integration and faster integration."
"Adobe can focus on the gaming side mode."
"It would be nice to see Adobe Flash as a separate application instead of embedding it with other apps. I want the product to be a simple app. The product’s scalability is also one of its weak points."
"It is simple to use for most developers and nearly impossible to use for non-developers."
"Could be improved with the ability to personalize the interface and development style and to edit extension requirements."
"They could add new modules to the platform for enhanced functioning."
"Microsoft Visual Studio could improve by being compatible with more operating systems. However, we understand the solution is proprietary to Microsoft."
"IntelliSense could be better."
"The stability of Microsoft Visual Studio could improve. There are times it hangs or stops working and I have to restart the program."
"There is room for improvement in the price of the solution overall."
"Since it is a heavy product, it is somewhat slow in building and executing the code in a localhost environment and it consumes a lot of resources."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price is okay so far."
"The tool’s pricing is fair."
"Our purchasing department pays a fair price for it."

"I use Microsoft Visual Studio's free version."
"You may have to purchase more hardware utilities like processors or RAM."
