A backup solution with better reporting and easy configuration
We were looking to replace our backup software and started doing a POC. During the POC, we realized the benefits of Clumio, especially given our small team. We always look for solutions that are easily manageable and not cumbersome. Clumio offers an easy interface, is simple to set up, and is easy to maintain. It provides a way to get daily reports directly from the software. Clumio has a straightforward setup; it involves deploying an OVF agent and connecting it to the cloud. Once connected, it begins backing up to the cloud. You can easily go to the cloud console and specify which servers need backups, and it starts the process. Different policies can be defined and assigned to servers, making the process much easier. Clumio also sends daily report emails, so every morning, we receive a report detailing what was successfully backed up and what failed. Their support is also good. If a backup fails twice, they proactively open a ticket and contact to resolve the issue.

Reliable rollback features for smooth IT operations and an easy setup
We are using Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 to take backups of shop floor PCs. I use it for clients locally, particularly for critical machines. It is also used globally for server-side backups and includes scheduling features like taking ten backups every Sunday when the factory is closed. This…

Pros

"Clumio has a straightforward setup"
"The solution provides good backup services for Microsoft 365."
"The most valuable features of Veeam Backup for Office 365 are the ease of use and instant back and restore."
"One of the main features of the solution is it is easy to use."
"The product is easy-to-use."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"One of the valuable features is the ability to restore a specific email. For example, if a user has deleted an email and they would like that particular email back we are able to restore it."
"This is an easy-to-install easy-to-use solution for backing up Office 365 email."
"The most valuable feature of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is the WAN accelerator. This feature allows for large amounts of data from one location to another. If the bandwidth in the environment is slow it makes the transfer slow but the WAN accelerator feature helps speed the transfer."

Cons

"They need to improve their SQL backup services"
"If Veeam could offer backup as a service for data backup and recovery, that would be great. We'd like something like what Druva is offering at the moment."
"It needs to be able to integrate with other emailing systems, like Linux."
"The capacity storage is a challenge everywhere in the backup industry. The general feedback people are coming back to about this is that there is no deduplication based on it."
"Veeam Backup for Office 365 can improve by reducing the time it takes for backups. I have mentioned this to Veeam and hopefully, in the next version, it will be a faster backup."
"They should include some more options to send alerts in existing monitoring software."
"If it could rebuild the data without pulling down the entire chunk, it would be an improvement."
"The product cannot back up Active Directory objects while its competitors can. Self-service power enables us to deal with service providers. We provide services for our clients, so having a multi-tenant service portal would be good."
"If one administrator wants to delete something in 365, another admin must approve it."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"We have 2000 users and pay about $10,000. It may be a little bit more per year. We have an education institute and may have fewer expenses."
"It is strictly subscribed on a per-user basis."
"Its price is a little bit high, but it is a fantastic solution. It is more expensive than NetApp."
"Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is expensive, and I rate it an eight out of ten."
"From our perspective in South Africa, our biggest challenge is the exchange rate from the South African currency to the US dollar. This makes it a bit pricey for us. However, compared to other backup solutions available, I would rate the pricing at a nine out of ten. For the servers, features, and functionality you get, it's worth the money. Of course, we'd always prefer things to be cheaper, but we also understand that you have to pay for proper functionality. So overall, it's not badly priced at all."
"The pricing model makes this solution more expensive than it needs to be."
"I think it's a fair price. It's around $36 per user, so I think it's a fair price for our customers."
"The cost is a bit on the high side."
