Has good reusability and CDI features
I use Collibra Data Quality. I switched to Informatica because Collibra cannot integrate. Colibra Cloud Data Quality is a very basic tool. There is no integration capability. If you have problem records, there is no fix to remediate them using the same tool. With Informatica, you can integrate with CDI and then create a remediation plan.

A highly stable solution that can be deployed very quickly and easily
You can only see the data and get the error report in SAP Information Steward. So, it is a read-only thing in SAP Information Steward. If you are using Syniti Data Quality, you can see the error and fix it by directly configuring Syniti Data Quality to write back to SAP. Syniti Data Quality allows you to update the source system. In SAP Information Steward, you can't upgrade the source system. You can just see the data and go on to the source system manually by logging in to SAP, and then you have to fix those errors. With Syniti Data Quality, you can integrate SAP and directly fix errors from Syniti Data Quality instead of logging into SAP and then fixing them.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The reusability factors are nice. The Cloud Data Quality is much better. A major flaw in the previous version was integration with the catalog, which is now seamless."
"The most beneficial feature of Informatica Cloud Data Quality is it's cloud-based."
"Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"The most valuable feature is the rule specification."
"The profiling features are much better than the on-premise version."
"An advantage is its seamless integration with other Informatica capabilities, making data quality a deeply embedded part of the solution."
"Server maintenance, server hosting, backup, restoration, and DB capabilities are not needed in the cloud."
"One of the most valuable features of Informatica Cloud Data Quality is Master Data Management. You can write code to build your logic rules to check the quality."
"With Syniti Data Quality, you can integrate SAP and directly fix errors from Syniti Data Quality instead of logging into SAP and then fixing them."
"The customer service and support is good."
"The major benefits of Syniti Data Quality stem from the productivity and flexibility it offers to users."
"Syniti has built-in 80% of the solution, and we only need to customize 20 to 25% of the features. It is easy to run and pre-load reports."

Cons

"I used to use this tool more but recently we have been using another tool that we feel is better because it handles spatial data. Informatica Cloud Data Quality could improve by adding the ability to handle spatial data."
"Support response time could be better."
"The high price of the product is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"The integration with older technology and cloud quality needs improvement."
"Informatica Cloud Data Quality could improve by adding more algorithms for matching and mastering. We currently only have five or six. Additionally, the parallelism in data is better in other solutions, such as IBM."
"Accessing data as a service is essential, especially for validations requiring external data services. This goes beyond basic syntactic checks, like ensuring an email address contains the @ symbol or .com domain. Instead, it's about advanced validation, such as verifying if an email address exists or if a phone number is valid."
"In the on-premises version, features like web service consumer and web service provider are available, but these functionalities are currently unavailable in the cloud edition."
"You cannot import the data discovery rules you create in the solution to the Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC)."
"The customization of the data needs improvement. We need to build basic SQL queries rather than being able to do it within the tool. We need to be able to analyze the SQL queries and then rerun them based on customer usage."
"The loading mechanisms and administration processes, particularly in setting up connections and deploying the system, need improvement."
"In Syniti Data Quality, data extraction is an area with certain shortcomings where improvements are required."
"It would be good if Syniti Data Quality could integrate more AI in the future."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The licensing costs attached to the solution are pretty high, but then, with the cloud model, the prices depend on what it provides for the value of money, which I feel was very high."
"Informatica Cloud Data Quality is a costly solution."
"We pay for a yearly subscription."
"I would rate the pricing a six out of ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
"The solution is expensive."
