Real-time monitoring and analytics are very easy and fast and very easy to use
The alerting and real-time analytics helped the security team. They are using a Hadoop database, so real-time monitoring and analytics are very easy and fast. Queries return results quickly and in very small time. It has full automation and automated SIEM responses. We are currently only testing Logsign, but in a few months, we plan to integrate our servers, routers, firewalls, and endpoints into our company's Logsign instance. Then, we can manage everything using Logsign.

User-friendly interface has improved threat detection through real-time analytics and AI advancements
They are very updated. Their customer responses are great, and they keep using the new AI tools to keep themselves at the edge of the game. This is very helpful because there are many false positives which keep cropping up, and one of the things that Securonix Next-Gen SIEM does very well is ensuring they don't give attention to false positives. They don't take attention away from the real problems and reduce a lot of noise. We look forward to more developments from Securonix Next-Gen SIEM in terms of their service turnaround times and staying connected with customers.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable features of Logsign SIEM are its cloud capabilities, alerting functionality, integration with Elastic Search, and configuration options."
"Logsign provides sample logs within the product, allowing users to see how logs will appear before integration, which is a valuable feature for testing and understanding log formats."
"It has full automation and automated SIEM responses."
"The UEBA functionality indicates a lot about behaviors that are not found through a traditional SIEM. We have exploited that more than anything since we started using it."
"The software includes user behavior interactions, dashboards, and training capabilities."
"The AI capabilities enhance threat detection."
"The feature that I have found most valuable is their analytics platform where they have the open security data-link, which they introduced, and this is typically different from the other vendors."
"We can now process more data in 20 minutes, it has improved analyst efficiency by 30%, and we haven't experienced any data loss, which is good."
"We have seen return on investment many times over, as there have been data-loss events that we've prevented which, had they left the company, would have represented billions of dollars of intellectual property."
"One of the most valuable features is the integration of all types of data sources to extract relevant information regarding events. It is a good solution when it comes to the correlations that it makes within all the data handled in our company."
"The most valuable feature is being able to look at users' behavioral profiles to see what they typically access. One of the key events that we monitor is people's downloading of objects... It's very easy to see people's patterns, what they typically do."

Cons

"AI and machine learning need to be developed. If they develop those features, I think everything will be fine."
"I hope they address the pricing model for Logsign Next-Gen SIEM, especially regarding regional variations. The pricing should not differ based on the country of operation as it can lead to dissatisfaction among customers. A fixed pricing structure would be more favorable for us. I would also suggest enhancing the GUI interface and adding features similar to xFi Exchange from IBM Pure. This would streamline operations and save time for analysts."
"Improvements needed in Logsign SIEM are providing specific security alerts that can be filtered and configured more effectively."
"Sometimes, there is instability in the data in terms of the customization of the time. They should work on stability on tool."
"We would like a little more face-to-face training."
"Sometimes, it can become a little overwhelming."
"The UX could be simpler."
"We would like a little more face-to-face training. Securonix has several tutorials on its website, but we want there to be a person in Colombia who does training or workshops to give us a better understanding of the platform."
"Sometimes, there is instability in the data in terms of the customization of the time. I have sometimes observed discrepancies in the data, which is something they should work on. They should bring more stability to time customization. If we are seeing a particular data, when we change the time zone, there should be the same data. There should not be any discrepancy."
"It takes too long to generate Spotter reports. For example, a 90-day report is around 100 megabytes. That takes a while, but a one-day report can be generated in a few seconds. We would be happy if they sped up the process."
"Securonix Next-Gen SIEM's deployment is complex and you need a team to do it."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Compared to other SIEMs, it has low pricing."
"Its price is fine. We found it to be cheaper than LogRhythm, Exabeam, Splunk, as well as Elastic Security. A few months ago, when we were comparing Securonix with Elastic Security, we found Securonix to be cheaper than Elasticsearch. We were pretty surprised that Elastic Security is more expensive than Securonix because Elasticsearch is just starting, and it cannot compete with Securonix at this time. So, the pricing of Securonix is pretty good for now."
"We have a license from our 5.0, so that license just continued. We paid them the extra cloud-hosting costs for a year which were about $300,000."
"The pricing is fine compared to the market but I think that at some point the competitors will catch up on price."
"Its pricing is quite similar to others and is very competitive. The other solutions have different types of licensing, but when you do the math, it is competitive."
"We went in on a three-year agreement which has an annual licensing fee, based upon the number of people that we're monitoring. There have not been any additional costs to the standard licensing fees."
"I had heard that it was much cheaper than Splunk and some of the other tools, and they gave us a nice package with support. They accommodated the number of users and support very well."
"Licensing is based on events per second (EPS), costing between $50 to $60 per EPS."
"We have an annual license. We pay $200,000 for the base licensing and we pay another $50,000 for the software as a service."
