Ability to test almost every tool in the companies I enter and performs well in a distributed environment
It would be beneficial if LoadRunner could optimize resource usage, especially for protocols that require significant resources, like TrueClient, which interacts directly with the UI. If they could improve resource usage, like ingest or for the load generator, using less CPU or RAM memory, that would be great. That's where I have problems. In real time, when they ask for 5,000 or 10,000 concurrent users, I have to provision a lot of virtual machines to define this load. Then there are situations with certain platforms, especially document management platforms, where the technology is so weird that normal LoadRunner protocols cannot detect it. So, in that case, I have to use that special TruClient protocol. I have to use the TruClient protocol, which actually clicks on the object. Despite the SQL technology, I can still create a script and test for performance. So what I would appreciate a lot is if this protocol would require less resources on a normal virtual machine. I can use fewer concurrent users with TruClient protocols as opposed to almost one hundred with HTTP/HTML. As opposed to many more with HTTP/HTML from, let's say, JMeter. So, optimization at that level for resource consumption by OpenText would be much appreciated.

Good performance testing, simple UI, and the ability to run the same script across different domains
StresStimulus simulates browser HTTP calls. I would love to see where it can also simulate a real browser to measure visually complete time. For example, to be something similar to TruClient. We run tests on SQL statements and stored procedures directly, even before integrating with UI. I wish there were a way to connect to my application DB and run SQL queries using a JDBC connection. In a world where the applications are changing every day, I hope StresStimulus comes up with an option to compare HTTP requests before and after deployment and tell me what requests have changed. This would help avoid rescripting every time, and this would be a huge deal.

Pros

"The tool is very easy to set up and get running."
"It's a very powerful tool."
"The solution supports a number of protocols."
"LoadRunner's UI is project-convenient, allowing easier simulation of real-time scenarios and producing comprehensive reports that are effortless to read."
"We haven't had an outage since we started using the solution."
"Micro Focus LoadRunner Enterprise Is very user-friendly."
"We implemented through the vendor, who used highly-skilled professionals."
"Support is nice, quick, and responsive."
"Technical support is great."
"Compared to other tools, there is not a whole lot to Stress Stimulus UI. This makes it easy to use, be it while scripting, executing, or having to train someone new to the team."
"Designed to be a modern testing tool, StresStimulus made it easy for us to upgrade from an older deprecated testing tool and adapt to Agile DevOps testing principles by shifting left with performance testing."

Cons

"When we have a new application, recording the application is a pretty tough task. We have tried multiple things. We do scripting or try to record with different settings and on different machines. We try to record multiple times, but we do not know why it is recording and why it is not recording. We do the same thing on different machines. It sometimes records, and at other times, it does not. That is one of the major concerns."
"I believe the data that demonstrates the automated correlations should be corrected."
"After they get over the acquisition, the first improvement is going to be tailoring it for their existing stack of other products. How would LoadRunner work for Documentum? How would it work for Business Network? How would it work for other apps? They can have a pre-package or a guide because they are all in the same family as opposed to being outside."
"The worst thing about it is it did not have zero footprint on your PC."
"Sometimes, the code is not generated when we record the scripts in the backend."
"The cost of the solution is high and can be improved."
"On the newer versions, I think the bleeding edge is still being worked on."
"The TruClient protocol works well but it takes a lot of memory to run those tests, which is something that can be improved."
"StresStimulus has a dedicated blog where users of the tool can log new feature requests or enhancements to existing features."
"Result analysis (snap-out tabs for side-by-side comparisons) need improvement."
"We run tests on SQL statements and stored procedures directly, even before integrating with UI. I wish there were a way to connect to my application DB and run SQL queries using a JDBC connection."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We got a very good deal. We are happy with that. We have 5,000 licenses."
"The price is really steep. It's an enterprise-level tool."
"I rate the product's pricing a three out of ten."
"I give the cost a one out of ten."
"The price is okay. You're able to buy it, as opposed to paying for a full year."
"The price of Micro Focus LoadRunner Enterprise could improve, it is expensive."
"We are content with the pricing and find it to be reasonable in terms of value for money."
"This solution can be expensive."
