Consolidated cloud security has reduced manual work and has automated vulnerability remediation
I elaborate on my rating of SentinelOne support by mentioning that there was some time where the troubleshooting took a longer time. In fact, there were many meetings going on. The availability of the document on the internet is on a lesser side because as an engineer, I would want to know about the troubleshooting aspects of this particular tool. When I am facing a customer, I do not prefer to bring the vendor to every call and try to resolve it, as it takes months and months. It would be better to have a training session with the engineer on site to explain and train properly. This is not the case with SentinelOne, so this is the only thing I have a complaint about. I do not have any other room for improvement to suggest within SentinelOne itself. However, I would really want the AI assistant for the threat hunting part to be more accessible. They have it, but they are making it licensed, so it is a bit on the higher end.

Helps with risk assessments for containers, assessing security, and ensuring container compliance
I rate the overall product a nine out of ten. Customers can conveniently view all companies in a single dashboard if they have different companies. This feature eliminates the need for different solutions and separate installations. Moreover, the solution extends beyond servers, encompassing various platforms such as VMware and Kubernetes. Additionally, end-users can install the solution from their client's perspective.

Have faced limitations due to high costs but have maintained reliability over time
The primary issue is the pricing, which is very expensive for my company's budget. We cannot afford to pay such a large fee. We are not Microsoft or BMW; we are a small company. As a small company, I have no power to negotiate directly with VMware. Perhaps larger companies have more opportunity to contract directly with VMware, but I do not have that leverage. The only path I can follow is to change solutions. Net.spA is a company working in the field of waste management. We are not a technological company, so we do not have a large margin to justify purchasing and maintaining the VMware infrastructure at current costs.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security offers security solutions for both Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is its storyline, which helps trace an event back to its source, like an email or someone clicking on a link."
"Visibility is the most important aspect."
"The tool identifies issues quickly."
"SentinelOne is far superior to our previous solution, Accops, due to its seamless updates, effortless maintenance, and user-friendly interface and dashboard."
"The biggest benefit of SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security is that it has a good AI-based analytics engine that helps with the detection part by providing full visibility."
"I would rate SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security a ten out of ten."
"We mostly use alerts. That has been pretty good. If we use the alert system from Amazon, it is much costlier to us, so we use SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security."
"Runecast is a good partner for VMware. Once we have installed it, we can see all the problems and issues. It also has VMware knowledge-based articles."
"It helped troubleshooting issues with storms of software data that cost a lot of IO."
"The most effective feature is the reporting tool, especially for PMS reporting at the end of the month, focusing on underutilized or overutilized resources."
"It gives us the real-time capability to see and measure CPU utilization, memory usage, consumption rates, and capacity management."
"The biggest benefit to us is that it shows us where our pain points are; where we need more storage, where we need more network or bandwidth, where we need more CPU or more memory."
"Its technical support team responds quickly."
"I've found vROps' predictive actions, monitoring, reporting, and provisioning features to be useful."
"You log in, you see everything that's happening right then. We can also export that, get information, print it out, show it to people. That's a big deal. People want to see that transparency. It's great that way."
"It has helped our organization a great deal in terms of being able to identify and troubleshoot problems."

Cons

"The Singularity Cloud Security console is experiencing delays in clearing resolved issues, which can take over an hour to be removed from the display."
"The could improve their mean time to detect."
"To enhance the notification system's efficiency, resolved issues should be promptly removed from the portal."
"Many features in SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security have additional costs, which limits our exploration of the full product."
"They can work on policies based on different compliance standards."
"A vulnerability alert would appear, and we'd fix it, but then the same alert would return the next day."
"While SentinelOne offers robust security features, its higher cost may present a challenge for budget-conscious organizations."
"SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security is an excellent CSPM tool, but the CWPP features need to improve, and there is a scope for more application security posture management features. There aren't many ASPM solutions on the market, and existing ones are costly. I would like to see SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security develop into a single pane of glass for ASPM, CSPM, and CWPP. Another feature I'd like to see is runtime protection."
"The product lacks network assessment capabilities. We cannot view our network assets or scan switches, routers, or IPs for vulnerabilities and issues."
"They should improve the vROps Federation Management Pack, so each customer can create a single pane of glass for multiple sites of vROps."
"Sometimes what a customer sees as a need for improvement could be incorrect sizing or a result of a specific deployment. So usually, the things we want are a more frequent sampling of the various metrics and the like."
"In newer versions, you see this information in megahertz and kilobytes, not percentage. I don't like this change so much."
"I'd probably like to see a little bit more detail when you go through the drill-down menus, in regards to stats, and maybe the way the data is arranged could be a little bit more cosmetically appealing."
"One area that needs improvement is the solution's connectivity and integration with other products, such as IBM and Huawei servers and storage."
"Lack of documentation."
"I'd like to see better integration between the tools, such as login sites. Having to go between the two of them is kind of a pain."
"I rated this solution a nine because I haven't had any issues with it and it has been intuitive and easy to use. I don't know it well enough to give it a ten."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"PingSafe is cost-effective for the amount of infrastructure we have. It's reasonable for what they offer compared to our previous solution. It's at least 25 percent to 30 percent less."
"We have an enterprise license. It is affordable. I'm not sure, but I think we pay 150,000 rupees per month."
"Its pricing is okay. It is in line with what other providers were providing. It is not cheap. It is not expensive."
"PingSafe is less expensive than other options."
"SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security is costly."
"The pricing is somewhat high compared to other market tools."
"The licensing is easy to understand and implement, with some flexibility to accommodate dynamic environments."
"The cost for PingSafe is average when compared to other CSPM tools."
"Runecast's pricing is cheaper than that of its competitors."
"There has been a bit of cost savings in that we could decide to move workloads around a bit better."
"The solution requires an annual license which is very expensive."
"It was cost effective, because it fixed our problems."
"I would give the solution a three out of five, with one being cheap and five being expensive. There are some elements of the pricing that are good, and some areas where I feel like I'm being charged for something the product can't provide yet."
"The solution is slightly expensive."
"The pricing is a little bit expensive. Licensing is an issue because there are always changes, and by that I mean cost increases. And that's not only for vROps but for VMware, vSphere, and all the products that are involved."
"So, besides the license overall, you have to pay for the type of support you want. With the license, there is a support cost as well."
"Get the right licensing and increase your licensing as you upgrade and grow. If you get the wrong licensing, it will be expensive, especially if you plan improperly."
