Consolidated cloud security has reduced manual work and has automated vulnerability remediation
I elaborate on my rating of SentinelOne support by mentioning that there was some time where the troubleshooting took a longer time. In fact, there were many meetings going on. The availability of the document on the internet is on a lesser side because as an engineer, I would want to know about the troubleshooting aspects of this particular tool. When I am facing a customer, I do not prefer to bring the vendor to every call and try to resolve it, as it takes months and months. It would be better to have a training session with the engineer on site to explain and train properly. This is not the case with SentinelOne, so this is the only thing I have a complaint about. I do not have any other room for improvement to suggest within SentinelOne itself. However, I would really want the AI assistant for the threat hunting part to be more accessible. They have it, but they are making it licensed, so it is a bit on the higher end.

Helps with risk assessments for containers, assessing security, and ensuring container compliance
I rate the overall product a nine out of ten. Customers can conveniently view all companies in a single dashboard if they have different companies. This feature eliminates the need for different solutions and separate installations. Moreover, the solution extends beyond servers, encompassing various platforms such as VMware and Kubernetes. Additionally, end-users can install the solution from their client's perspective.

Have faced limitations due to high costs but have maintained reliability over time
The primary issue is the pricing, which is very expensive for my company's budget. We cannot afford to pay such a large fee. We are not Microsoft or BMW; we are a small company. As a small company, I have no power to negotiate directly with VMware. Perhaps larger companies have more opportunity to contract directly with VMware, but I do not have that leverage. The only path I can follow is to change solutions. Net.spA is a company working in the field of waste management. We are not a technological company, so we do not have a large margin to justify purchasing and maintaining the VMware infrastructure at current costs.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"The most valuable aspect of Singularity Cloud Security is its unified dashboard."
"SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security has positively impacted my organization through the ease of use of the tool and the protection that it provides."
"I would definitely recommend this product to other members, vendors, or users, as it covers security posture management, auditing, documentation, and compliance management."
"The most valuable feature is the notification system, providing real-time alerts and comparisons crucial for maintaining security."
"The Offensive Security Engine, powered by impressive AI/ML capabilities, seamlessly integrates with cloud infrastructure to analyze data and provide optimal security solutions."
"The most valuable features are automated threat response, AI detection, and static and dynamic detection."
"SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security drastically reduces the mean time to remediate for cloud incidents by shrinking investigation and response time from hours to seconds or minutes."
"It has a user-friendly dashboard that I can access without any difficulty."
"Runecast is a good partner for VMware. Once we have installed it, we can see all the problems and issues. It also has VMware knowledge-based articles."
"The biggest lesson that I have learned from using this product is that if you want to have a private cloud, VMware is the best option."
"The ROI certainly is apparent with the downtime being eliminated."
"Technical support was excellent."
"It has allowed us to do some capacity planning at a fairly detailed level so that we can go back and look at not only some of our workloads, in order to see if they need to be shifted around within the existing infrastructure, but it allows us to do some capacity planning."
"vRealize has products created especially for virtualized infrastructure by VMware, and its main features are great."
"The dashboards are nice, because I can have one pane and have everything that I want to see and not have to drill into new things every time."
"The vRealize Operations Manager gives you complete insight of the VMware environment, with a completely insightful, very clean, simple dashboard that makes it easy for anyone to understand what is wrong and how it needs to be fixed."
"The most valuable feature of the product is the visibility into the infrastructure and user experience of the customer's network."

Cons

"The documentation could be better."
"They can add more widgets to its dashboard. A centralized dashboard with numerous metrics would improve user understanding."
"The Kubernetes scanning on the Oracle Cloud needs to be improved. It's on the roadmap. AWS has this capability, but it's unavailable for Oracle Cloud."
"The documentation could be better."
"The Automation tab is an add-on that doesn’t work properly. They provide a list of scripts that don’t work and I have asked support to assist but they won’t help. When running on various endpoints the script doesn’t work and if it does, it’s only a couple. There are a lot of useful scripts that would be beneficial to run forensics, event logs, and process lists running on the endpoint."
"Response time can be improved because not all things are perfect in every product, whether CrowdStrike or Trend Micro."
"There is one concern related to SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security platform. They claim it as an AI-based integration that will provide runtime protection."
"I would like to see the map feature improve. It's good, but it isn't fully developed. It lets us use custom resources and policies but does not allow us to perform some actions. I would also like more custom integration and runtime security for Kubernetes."
"The product lacks network assessment capabilities. We cannot view our network assets or scan switches, routers, or IPs for vulnerabilities and issues."
"In the past, when we have raised priority one tickets and they have sent us level one engineers. This wasted time because the L1 was only able to perform the troubleshooting steps that we had already completed."
"While the initial setup was somewhat straightforward, there is some complexity. Going forward, I would like there to be more clarity in the process."
"I was involved in the initial setup. It was complex."
"One area that needs improvement is the solution's connectivity and integration with other products, such as IBM and Huawei servers and storage."
"Your range of use will be restricted by the license level you have chosen."
"Some of the areas that we have run into issues with are the upgrades, sometimes."
"It could be more proactive."
"I'd like to see more of the advanced reporting without having to go to the advanced product and paying the extra price. Canned reports are great, but you shouldn't have to pay for custom reports."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is a little expensive. I would rate it a four out of ten for pricing."
"Singularity Cloud Workload Security's pricing is good."
"SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security is on the costlier side."
"We have an enterprise license. It is affordable. I'm not sure, but I think we pay 150,000 rupees per month."
"The tool is cost-effective."
"Its pricing is constant. It has been constant over the previous year, so I am happy with it. However, price distribution can be better explained. That is the only area I am worried about. Otherwise, the pricing is very reasonable."
"The pricing tends to be high."
"The cost for PingSafe is average when compared to other CSPM tools."
"Runecast's pricing is cheaper than that of its competitors."
"I would give the solution a three out of five, with one being cheap and five being expensive. There are some elements of the pricing that are good, and some areas where I feel like I'm being charged for something the product can't provide yet."
"It was cost effective, because it fixed our problems."
"The predictive analysis of the infrastructure helps our customers to reduce downtime and improve capacity planning. Issues are fixed faster with vROps."
"The optimization is a huge return on investment alone."
"Pricing could always be cheaper, but it's acceptable."
"We have seen huge ROI. It has certainly reduced troubleshooting."
"If the VMs were trimmed, then we wouldn't have to buy as much software/hardware, and this means less licenses. While most of it is VMware licenses, which are relatively cheap, there are SQL licenses for Microsoft, and this is where we could start saving a lot of money."
"Our manpower costs have been reduced due to the automation in conjunction with the usage of the dashboard."
