I am looking for a firewall suitable for my company (size: < 500). I've been researching the Palo Alto Networks NG Firewall and the Fortinet FortiGate one.
Can you please tell me whether the Fortinet firewall has any AI (Artificial Intelligence) capabilities as it seems Palo Alto does have them?
I appreciate your inputs.
I agree with Michael Zhang, Fortigate uses FortiSandbox when there is suspicion.
FortiDDoS also is based on AI, I don't know if the DDoS Fortigate's license is based on AI

Not sure about your business needs for an AI-enabled firewall system. I haven't seen such a feature for networking policies or IPS in FortiOS 7, but if you have the anti-virus model license, you can try the FortiSandbox which is AI-powered.

Actually, FortiGate does not have AI capabilities.
But the FortiGuard have. You can refer FortiGuard datasheet for this information (https://www.fortinet.com/conte...)
FortiGuard is the Threat Intelligence Research Center, and it updating signature to FortiGate for Security Features (like Antivirus, IPS).
The FortiGate with the new FortiOS release have new features that could integrate the AI with some bundle security solutions.
I have several FortiGates and they don't have AI features, or I can't find them.

Hi Carlos, I Agree with Darryl, by now one of the most suitable and affordable solutions with great power, scalability is the XG Sophos NGFW. if sizing is needed please don´t hesitate in requesting it, it fits to anysize, bandwith, throowoutput, etc...
@Evgeny Belenky hi there, in AI not yet, but i have worked in SOC automation with complex workflow based on IOC, automated mitigation based on EDR and other cool stuffs with Arcsight SIEM, and BPMN based playbooks

what do you expect from AI (Artificial Intelligence) to do :-)? In IT there are many 2 o 3 letter "words" and they are often referring to something already probably deployed somewhere in some form.
As far as AI, most of the vendors are driving to same direction. To make your network secure. How fast they are driving that depends on many factors. You should look at broader picture here where you will include EPP+FW+EMG+NAC and make them working as one system.
