Aruba VPN can be valuable for supporting network work within the company, particularly for ensuring connectivity in various signal conditions. However, occasional issues may arise, such as intermittent drops in signal or difficulties connecting to private networks or the Internet. Despite these challenges, it provides a reliable connection, enabling employees to access necessary resources securely within the company's network and on the Internet. VPN simplifies secure access to corporate resources from various locations by leveraging technologies like ClearPass for authentication and SD-WAN for gateway functionality. The VPN's most valuable features include stability and ease of use. The application's stability is crucial for ensuring reliable signal transmission and connectivity. Many of our staff have recently declined to use the application because of these issues. Consequently, we are considering migrating to another application to improve user experience and productivity. You can connect to your network. However, the problem is that no further development has existed for the last two or three years. It has good integration capabilities and is a simple, lightweight application. It also features a split network panel capability. If the network is good, it functions seamlessly. I rate it a six out of ten.
Currently, the connections on Aruba VPN are robust and the fastest. As it is a lighter client, it does not put any pressure or heavy connections. It's all about how much internet connection you have. Your VPN connection will work faster based on your internet connection. The authentication with Aruba VPN is faster and takes around five milliseconds. You need two or three engineers to deploy and maintain the solution at the start of a project. However, once it is set up, only one person is needed to do it. I would recommend Aruba VPN to other users. If someone has a workforce working from home or traveling, then Aruba VPN is the right solution for them. Overall, I rate Aruba VPN ten out of ten.

Aruba VPN worked correctly before the COVID pandemic when the number of connections was not so high on that appliance. Only about 20% of the users worked from home then. We were satisfied with the solution besides the Aruba VPN client anomaly during that period. This anomaly occurred from the beginning, and we could not identify the root cause of it. We could not say whether it was caused by the client machine configuration, the operating system configuration, the Windows configuration, or any other application-related issue. It did not depend on the Hungarian internet service provider, as the same problem occurred with various internet service providers. Unfortunately, it was a black box for us, and we were not able to identify the root cause. The support party should prepare better by gathering more information about the company's size, the number of users, and the number of connections. Based on this information, they can recommend a better, larger appliance for the customer. In our case, it would have been better if we had a larger appliance. I cannot say the appliance was slow when all the users were connected. It worked as expected, but we faced some issues. Overall, I rate Aruba VPN a five out of ten.
