When we wanted to back up our Microsoft environment, we looked for a cloud backup. Barracuda provided a cloud backup. There were no other products that offered similar features at that time. I will recommend the product to others. It is easy to use. It is a complete package. It is easy to integrate the product with Microsoft. We have a complete package that includes antispam and email gateway solutions. We can choose any package we want. We use Barracuda Essentials. Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.
I give the solution ten out of ten. The solution depends on your connectivity, so it is essential to have a proper connection to the cloud. One person is required to maintain the solution however it is always good to have a second person as a backup. My experience with the solution is limited to maintenance for our customers.

My advice would be to include the amount of growth expected when you calculate the amount of space you'll need, if you want to maintain the solution for a long time. The biggest lesson from using this solution is that it's like the tides, with ebb and flow. Sometimes the data balloons and we reach a threshold and, eventually, it purges and goes back down to a decent level. Also, make sure you use the retention policies properly so that the data gets purged. That's one of the things that we learned the hard way. We set up a whole bunch of servers and we forgot to add them to our retention schedule. The next thing you know, we were out of space and we were trying to figure out why. At this point, we're happy with the product.

This is a competitive solution that stays on top of cutting edge features. They have a helpful website with a lot of information. I have only needed to reach out for technical support when there were truly some complex problems, and they were good in terms of solving the problems. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
I would definitely recommend it because it has been trouble-free for us. I would rate Barracuda Backup a nine out of 10. I don't have any experience with a competing product, so my assessment would be biased.

I would rate Barracuda Backup a nine out of ten. It does what it is supposed to do, and it does it very efficiently. I would give them high grades for the compression.
I work with end users a lot, and I think that any solution that is easiest for the end users to use is a winner, and Barracuda fulfills that. If a solution gets too technical, then people might get confused. I would rate Barracuda Backup a nine out of ten.
We're just a customer. We use the product. We're not resellers or consultants. I'd advise those considering implementing the solution to first find someone who knows the appliance. Sometimes you can get lost in all of the functionality they have. It's very important to have at least one person who understands the solution pretty well if the company has plans to use Barracuda. Overall, I would rate the solution nine out of ten. We've mostly been pretty happy with the product.

My advice to anybody who is implementing Barracuda Backup is to take time to plan how it is going to be set up. Specifically, consider the connectivity with the backup client nodes. If it is done properly then you will have a minimum deployment time. If on the other hand, you have issues with connectivity, then it will add to your deployment time. In summary, this is a good product and we plan to continue recommending it to our clients. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
Trust Barracuda, at least give them a try, because unfortunately, they're not very known. At least give a try because it's a simple way of working. The support is excellent. And it is a very stable product. I would rate it a nine out of ten.
Barracuda Backup is a solid contender when we are choosing a working Backup / disaster recovery solution. The features, support and ease of use makes it a very good return on investment. The IR subscription allows us to get a new updated unit every 4 years, lowering down the cost for re-investing in new units. When looking for a backup solution, we MUST consider the restore part ! Barracuda has been the one that provided q quicker and most reliable restore path and time.

My advice for anybody who is implementing this solution is to ensure that it is adapted to all of the current hardware that you have. Prepare yourself to upgrade the solution, if needed, for at least five years. The biggest lesson that I have learned from using this solution is not to underestimate the complexity of the implementation. The sellers suggest that it is easy, but you need to adapt it to your own environment. This is a good solution, but there is always room for improvement. I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.
We recommend the product to other users because it is a good product. On a scale from one to ten, where one is the worst and ten is the best, Barracuda Backup is an eight. It does have some good features, but it needs to enhance some of the parts and add some features to give more flexibility and speed.

I would rate this product a nine out of ten because giving it a ten is an admission of perfection. I can't do that. I don't believe they are perfect yet. I love it, I never have complaints from customers and usually most of the problems that we face are not necessarily Barracuda's issues. I can say it's quite a good product. I'll recommend it easily. There are situations where improvements can be made to anything. For example, they don't cover every possible operating system in the world. I don't expect them to do that, so that will always be something missing. Even if the same is true for any other solution, they have to be so good that they surpass my imagination. I believe they are doing some interesting stuff right now to improve what they already have. They are improving integration for example, their backup with other services will work better. They are enhancing the alert service, and so on. There are quite a few interesting things that they're doing. They are also introducing an API, which allows other products to interface with Barracuda backup. The backup can be responsive instead of a pre-scheduled function. For example, if the number of attacks on the company increases by 7%, I might have a trigger for Barracuda to do a backup just in case. These are not backup issues, they are enhancements. They're not related to the main reason why the customer asks for Barracuda backup but they're nice things to have. It's really amazing stuff they're introducing. Everything is done by Barracuda on Amazon. All we have to work with is just a simple interface. There are no problems at all. The advice I can give to people who use traditional backup solutions is to look into the benefits that you get from the cloud and the cost savings that you get.
