Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten. That's a great tool for sharing knowledge, internal communication, or tracking issues. I use it every day. The first thing I do is Open Jenkins, Open JIRA, and open Confluent. It is part of my workday.
We use Confluent for real-time data analytics by capturing user activity to build dashboards and implement rate-limiting and pricing strategies for our services. Confluent improved our data integration process by optimizing bandwidth utilization and reducing latency by threefold through its schema registration error format, enhancing schema security, and ensuring positive impacts on our data processing capabilities. Confluent's reliability and uptime have been good for us, as it complements our existing fault tolerance mechanisms and offers multi-version support, enhancing our overall data processing capabilities. The CDC capability with the IBM connector was the most valuable feature for our data streaming needs, serving as a game changer in our data processing workflows. I highly recommend considering Confluent for its comprehensive set of solutions, particularly when compared to other tools like Spark or Flink. Understanding Kafka's basic constructs and message processing is essential before installation to ensure effective utilization and a clean design for implementation. Overall, I would rate Confluent as an eight out of ten.
Be careful while using Confluent. It's easy to get into a messy state in the IRR space if you try to do too much without thinking. Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
It is particularly valuable when you have a larger user base, a broader audience, or a substantial number of collaborators. It's well-suited for facilitating extensive collaboration and documentation needs. However, for smaller teams or individuals, Confluent might be overkill and cost-prohibitive, as it is primarily designed for enterprise-level users. In such cases, tools like GitHub Pages may be more appropriate for creating user or software documentation. Overall, I would rate it eight out of ten.
Confluent is deployed on-cloud in our organization. Once you are in product development and want to use it in integration with Jira, Confluent is very, very useful. Overall, I rate Confluent a nine out of ten.

I rate the solution nine out of ten. The solution is good, but it can be improved by including a feature that stores failed messages. I recommend this solution to new users because we went through different tech analyses and then adopted this solution. To date, we have seen improvements in performance and scalability, so we recommend this solution.

The main point to understand is that Confluent Platform and Confluent Cloud are two different offerings. Confluent Platform requires you to self-manage or manage the Confluent Platform within your cloud environment, rather than Confluent Cloud which uses your applications that are deployed in your cloud to connect to Confluent Cloud. When you decided to get into Confluent, have clarity on which route you want to go at the outset. Secondly, if you choose Confluent Cloud which is the SaaS platform, have your implementation plan mapped out before you go ahead. Lastly, have your naming conventions, implementation, and securing your topics, your service account or ACLs are all mapped out well. Support is a 10 out of 10, but overall I would rate Confluent a 7 out of 10.

Confluent has improved a lot and they're currently working on version 7.0 where they're removing Zookeeper, which is highly vulnerable to security attacks. My advice to others wanting to use this solution is for them to use automation wherever it is required and it is a very stable product, not many issues arise If you know how to manage them. Overall, it's a great company and they have excellent software. I rate Confluent a nine out of ten.
I think this is a very good solution and if there's no need to specifically take the on-prem version then in terms of maintenance and scalability, the cloud version would be the preferred option. If the organization has a very high volume of data then on-prem is preferable. In terms of performance, I believe Confluent is the market leader in streaming platforms. I rate the solution seven out of 10.
We're customers and end-users. The end products we have are Jira, Confluent, Bitbucket as well as Dynatrace. I'm not sure which plugins we use. Confluent we are using just for the documentation. I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten. It's been very handy for me and the team.
