The security features of Dell Business Laptops are nice, but they are useless for us because we have our own stack. Everyone has their own stack, so we do not need more. With every new feature, such as BIOS-level encryption and tracking, it is great, but we already have similar capabilities in other places. Satisfaction has gone up significantly since deploying Dell Business Laptops, as I know from polling the users. They tend to be happier with Dell than they were with HPs or Lenovos in the past. Standardization has helped, and we have achieved cost savings by being able to maintain one standard across the fleet, eliminating concerns about that. I rate this review a 7 out of 10.

The top priorities when choosing laptops for our organization are reliability, repairability, and support from my perspective. We are using detachables and Latitude is our standard, although the names are changing, the Pro and the Pro Max and so forth. The Latitudes are our standard. Precisions we generally use for our engineers or our GIS people, the Geographic Information System, because they do a lot of information processing. My thoughts on the security features of the laptops are that a lot of it is not related to the laptops themselves. We are migrating to Windows Hello and we are trying to do some biometric authentication, but again, that is not specific to Dell Business Laptops. I do not have much security feedback. If I were about to tell a peer about Dell Business Laptops, I would convey that it would not just be about the computers, but about the company because we have had really good relations with our sales representatives and account executives. They always seem to be ready to assist us even when we have unusual requests. We do use a lot of Dell storage as well. I think we are going to be, obviously with the significant change in AI, deploying specific AI servers at some point. I do not know when that is going to happen, but I am almost certain it will be Dell Business Laptops equipment we go with because it will integrate well with our current environment. The partnership has been there before I got here, and Dell has been doing well with the university. That has been a key thing for us as well. We're not just spending money with Dell Business Laptops. Faculty and staff come to me saying they don't want the device even when I give them all the bells and whistles. They come to me asking, 'Hey, I want this Surface Pro.' Currently, I am using Dell Business Laptops, specifically the Pro sixteen-inch model. I use the sixteen-inch, fourteen-inch, and alternate between the two models. For the fourteen-inch, I purchase the touchscreen option. For myself, I have the Dell Premiums seventeen-inch, which I have in my bookbag right now. I use this internally for my IS department because it has more powerful specifications, including an Ultra i9 processor and thirty-two gigabytes of RAM, since my support team runs more robust software from my customer base. One of the biggest challenges I addressed involved the perception of Dell Business Laptops versus Surface devices. Many people in my customer base perceived Surface devices as more tiny and sleek, and they associated that perception with executive-level devices when it is not necessarily true. To overcome this hurdle, my Dell partner recently helped me by sending a try and buy unit of the Dell Pro Premium fourteen-inch, the PA14250 unit. I have been demoing this device, and many people have commented that it is the same weight as their Surface device and feels familiar. I have been able to explain that the performance is actually better than their Surface. This demonstration has helped overcome the perception hurdle. The issue was not about performance but rather about appearance and perception. I also had to explain to my leadership team that because of how Surface devices are designed, their docking stations are based on the generation of Surface that each user had. Even though my fleet has changed as I refresh devices, I have to maintain a fleet of multiple docking stations to work with each respective Surface model. In contrast, with the new TB5 docking station, regardless of which Dell Business Laptops model someone has, it is backward compatible and adjusts the power to accommodate the device. I explained to leadership that with Dell Business Laptops, I have one universal docking station, whereas with our Surface devices, I have four different docking station options. From a cost and physical inventory perspective, we do not have the space to house and maintain all these different units and models of docks. I chose Dell Business Laptops over other brands mainly for the support standpoint. I was able to get all of my field technicians and system support technicians through the Dell training program, and they are all Dell certified. This option is not available for Microsoft or Surface devices. I knew that my organization would be protected if anyone needs to open the laptop to swap the hard drive because they are trained and covered, and it does not void my warranty. This was my biggest selling point and has helped me tremendously in gaining more adoption. On a scale from one to ten, I would give Dell Business Laptops a ten. Usability and function are exceptional. My team works directly with the Dell support team on imaging and deployment, and we are able to image and deploy machines much quicker because of how the drivers are packaged and integrated into my SCCM environment. I am turning out equipment faster. At this point, whenever I do any hardware change, the support team is ready for me within a day or two with everything packaged and ready to go in my SCCM environment. The process is much longer with Microsoft products because of how everything is packaged there. The Dell Business Laptops solution has definitely made my work much simpler and less of a hassle. I recommend thinking about your user base and customer base before deciding on Dell Business Laptops, and avoiding overspending on unnecessary specifications. At first, my VP wanted everything configured with an Ultra i9 processor and thirty-two gigabytes of RAM. I questioned whether this was necessary, as that specification works for my developers and some of my researchers but not for my entire organization. I recommend taking a hard look at your user base and evaluating the product to ensure it meets the actual need. Providing yourself a little room for growth is crucial. I have found that in any industry, now in today's climate, eight gigabytes simply does not work anymore. Sixteen gigabytes is the minimum. However, I have had meetings in the last two months discussing whether sixteen gigabytes is even sufficient anymore. Probably within the next year, I will have to use thirty-two gigabytes as my baseline because of the demands in my organization. My last machine had sixteen gigabytes, and Google Chrome by itself consumes a lot of resources. On top of that, especially as an IT professional, I run SCCM, BeyondTrust, and my phone system, so I need that computing power. I would rate this product a ten overall.

They always respond on time and also give great pricing. For example, depending on where you come from, I know that many corporates do not really have a budget constraint, but I work with a publicly funded organization. We have our budgets, and they are willing to work with us to make sure that we meet our requirements along with the budgetary demands. I would tell another IT leader or buyer who is on the fence about choosing Dell Business Laptops for their commercial fleet to request a seed product so that they can test the computer, put it through everything, and test out the customer support behind it. That should be sufficient. You will get essentially everything that you will get from Panasonic or anybody else for a much cheaper price. Of course, if you'd ask me the model number of Dell Business Laptops I am currently using, I could not tell you off the top of my head. I know it is one of the higher-end ones, I just can't remember it off the top of my head. The specific challenges or needs we were trying to address when we chose Dell Business Laptops was reliability. I did work desktop support for a while, so for us, it was reliability, it was the repairability, and it was the fact that we could get the support we needed when we needed it. Dell Business Laptops align pretty with my organization's needs. We've been using them for over eighteen years, so they have to align pretty closely. The overall rating for Dell Business Laptops is a ten out of ten. I've used them my entire time there, and I've never had a complaint. As long as you match the right model to your needs, they're perfectly great. If I were recommending Dell Business Laptops to a peer, I would point out the reliability and the batteries. You can swap those batteries out and put a new one in. Dell seems to always have them available, which is nice. Some companies change the battery every model, but Dell doesn't necessarily do that. They're available when you need them. I would ask another IT leader or buyer how often they want to replace the device. My experience with Dell Business Laptops is they just continue forward and keep moving. I have to reiterate what my coworker said. We do not consistently use much of Dell Business Laptops platform on their features specifically. We use a lot of third-party features, but I do think that it is nice that there is a way to make a bunch of third-party things work into Dell Business Laptops platform for that reason. They work really well with everything that we have so far. The spotlight speaker presented that they integrate with everything, including our data center, our laptops, our everything. We have found 40 different softwares for various purposes. Everything we have managed to integrate with Dell Business Laptops over the years, and there have been challenges here and there, but for the most part, I certainly have no experience with a different brand of products that integrates better with a larger variety of products on the laptop or desktop side. I think they are very happy that Dell Business Laptops are pretty resilient. They work well and mostly last a long time. We have no complaints, honestly. We have never used anything else. If anything, they have more complaints about their own laptops that we are not maintaining and making sure work properly. I cannot say much about user satisfaction scores because we do not ask them to score things, but I think they would score it well. Regarding cost savings, I know that we definitely have some cost savings. We definitely have people coming around asking if we can get some sort of idea on getting a laptop for personal use or asking what we should do. We can figure out how to help them. In summary of my experience with Dell Business Laptops, I would say that they have always been rock solid for us, performing as well as we can expect, and the customer support has always been amazing. If I were to recommend Dell Business Laptops to someone, I would say that we often have employees who want to buy personal computers, and we get good deals through our sales representatives. Dell offers a lot of power for cost, making employees want to choose Dell after using them at work. If I were recommending laptops to a peer, I would say that Dell Business Laptops is a trusted and proven product, and it has been around for a very long time. The failure rate that we have experienced is a strong selling point to our customers. I would rate Dell Business Laptops as a nine out of ten. I think performance and reliability are the biggest factors. Regarding the security features of Dell Business Laptops, it has some of the native features, but we also use some other third-party products as a company. However, Dell has been having approximately five or six different account executives since I started at Karmenta, and that has affected my experience a little. I prefer a person to answer quickly and provide updates when I need to make changes and not have the hassle of going through three people before getting my purchase done. This is separate from all the problems with the global market at the moment. When it is working, it is working really good, but there are some small hiccups with the account executives at the moment. Dell Business Laptops do require maintenance on the user's end or on my end. They do require Windows updates and maintenance when they are faulty. In the organization I work with, we have a routine that every three months all the users come to the office with their laptops for us to examine them to see if they need maintenance. Most of them just come and they just go back because Dell is a durable product. Dell Business Laptops allow you to install anything you want from the start. I would rate this product a 10 overall.

Currently, I am testing Dell Enterprise Laptops Pro Max.The CPU for the newer laptops is the Intel Core Ultra, or the Intel vPro 7.Today I learned something new about the vPros that I'm going to start looking into, but so far the performance has been fine.I find Dell Enterprise Laptops fully reliable.In the past, I just used the Dell website for drivers, and that's it.For the keyboards, they are okay. I have some external keyboards and mice, and I have one that works perfectly. I never have a problem. The models of Dell Enterprise Laptops I am using include the Latitude 5500, 5520, and around that series. The new ones are the Dell Pro and the Dell 16 Plus. Most problems we fix ourselves unless there's something wrong with the hardware. Software-wise, we are capable of fixing most issues on our own. We don't have any issues yet with hardware, and we have some contacts for the Dell Premier Page, reaching out if we need specific hardware adjustments, but for the rest, we don't contact support. We are currently using the Latitude 5550 and the Dell Pro 16 models of Dell Enterprise Laptops. We use Dell Enterprise Laptops with Intel inside. The Intel processor we use is the i5, though I am uncertain of the generation—I believe it is the recent one, possibly the 13th generation. The way Intel processors handle our workloads compared to what I expected is satisfactory. We have never compared Intel with AMD processors, so I cannot determine if there is a significant difference. In the past, Intel has been the most stable option for us when used with software applications such as Adobe Suite and AutoCAD that require substantial processing power for workstation tasks. When we purchase new laptops or refresh existing ones, the Intel processor is always a consideration. I would rate Dell Enterprise Laptops on a scale of one to ten as a seven or an eight because of the stability and manageability they provide. I believe HP is coming close to Dell's performance. Dell Enterprise Laptops need to reach a ten somehow. My overall rating for this review is seven out of ten.

I have had plenty of complaints regarding throttling and overheating laptops because the cooling system in Dell Enterprise Laptops is not sufficient enough. What I notice is that the thermal paste used in the laptops is different across the platforms. I understand the difference in the pricing between Dell Enterprise Laptops Latitude series 3, 5, 7, and 9. However, using the same thermal compound should provide long life for the cheapest models, which are used the most. Right now, currently in the company, I am struggling with the whole finance department struggling with throttling because the laptops are overheating due to very poor quality thermal compound. I am replacing it with PTM right now and the laptops get a new life. It's not that easy. I'm IT, so I can do it, but my people won't be able to do it by themselves. Latitude is my favorite series. I dug up recently a laptop from 2010 and the battery still lasts around six years. It was not in use for I think the last four years, just laying in a closet. I charged the battery, and it runs smoothly on Windows 10 and on Linux. That's an awesome device. In terms of recent ones, I have from the new line one Dell Pro which is, let me say, I'm really impressed in terms of battery. I think it's the new newcomer for finance working on it and the battery lasts very similar to the Dell Enterprise Laptops Latitude that I have, the 5440 model at the company. Don't try to be similar to MacBook or Apple. Don't try to copy MacBooks. It's not the way. I love Dell Enterprise Laptops because of their unique design. There were plenty of things that were impressive, where I thought, "Wow, that's a new Dell Enterprise Laptops model. I want this one." I can't afford it myself now, so I'll buy it later when I am replacing the laptop. But for a really long time, the keyboard was a super feature in Dell Enterprise Laptops. It was super smooth to type on. The battery, screen, speakers, these were all quite good. I never used a cheaper model of Dell Enterprise Laptops. Now I am struggling with some models purchased by previous IT in the company with the series, I think 7330, which is the most oily laptop I ever touched in my life. It's already peeling off the top coating layer. But older models were much nicer. I think in terms of overheating, the design has changed because Dell gained a bit more space in housing for cooling. I don't mind them being thicker, but don't go the MacBook way. It's not the way. For Dell Enterprise Laptops, I give this review an overall rating of 8.

If we cannot solve it ourselves fast, we usually submit a ticket or contact customer service.For the support cases, I would rate them maybe a seven.I am not really into the financial aspect regarding the cost of Dell Enterprise Laptops, as I am mostly doing the maintenance and technical support, but I think they are acceptable; their prices have been pretty stable over the years and have become slightly more expensive, but it is acceptable. I would rate this review an eight overall.
The battery life is also pretty great; I usually use it plugged in because we have docks at work, so I don't really need to worry about charging. It does the job, and it's almost fully specced out except for the display, as I just have the regular display, not the fancy OLED one with touch. I can find documentation easily. I would rate this laptop a 9 out of 10.
The reason we are staying with Dell Enterprise Laptops is the support. The support with Dell Enterprise Laptops is just night and day. I've also used HP in a different company, and it's so different. Dell just jumps on right away, helps you out, and the technology never fails. If you have ProSupport, they send you the part the same day, and that's a big win for us. We're in healthcare, so each minute counts for us. The advice I would give to other companies that are considering getting Dell Enterprise Laptops is that I know some of you are used to other technologies, but give Dell a chance and give it a good test. Talk to their support. You will fall in love with Dell Enterprise Laptops. Talk to your Dell rep and your VARs; they're probably going to help you with prices. I rate this product 10 out of 10.

Currently, I am using Dell Business Laptops, specifically the Pro sixteen-inch model. I use the sixteen-inch, fourteen-inch, and alternate between the two models. For the fourteen-inch, I purchase the touchscreen option. For myself, I have the Dell Premiums seventeen-inch, which I have in my bookbag right now. I use this internally for my IS department because it has more powerful specifications, including an Ultra i9 processor and thirty-two gigabytes of RAM, since my support team runs more robust software from my customer base. One of the biggest challenges I addressed involved the perception of Dell Business Laptops versus Surface devices. Many people in my customer base perceived Surface devices as more tiny and sleek, and they associated that perception with executive-level devices when it is not necessarily true. To overcome this hurdle, my Dell partner recently helped me by sending a try and buy unit of the Dell Pro Premium fourteen-inch, the PA14250 unit. I have been demoing this device, and many people have commented that it is the same weight as their Surface device and feels familiar. I have been able to explain that the performance is actually better than their Surface. This demonstration has helped overcome the perception hurdle. The issue was not about performance but rather about appearance and perception. I also had to explain to my leadership team that because of how Surface devices are designed, their docking stations are based on the generation of Surface that each user had. Even though my fleet has changed as I refresh devices, I have to maintain a fleet of multiple docking stations to work with each respective Surface model. In contrast, with the new TB5 docking station, regardless of which Dell Business Laptops model someone has, it is backward compatible and adjusts the power to accommodate the device. I explained to leadership that with Dell Business Laptops, I have one universal docking station, whereas with our Surface devices, I have four different docking station options. From a cost and physical inventory perspective, we do not have the space to house and maintain all these different units and models of docks. I chose Dell Business Laptops over other brands mainly for the support standpoint. I was able to get all of my field technicians and system support technicians through the Dell training program, and they are all Dell certified. I recommend taking a hard look at your user base and evaluating the product to ensure it meets the actual need. Providing yourself a little room for growth is crucial. I have found that in any industry, now in today's climate, eight gigabytes simply does not work anymore. Sixteen gigabytes is the minimum. However, I have had meetings in the last two months discussing whether sixteen gigabytes is even sufficient anymore. Probably within the next year, I will have to use thirty-two gigabytes as my baseline because of the demands in my organization. My last machine had sixteen gigabytes, and Google Chrome by itself consumes a lot of resources. On top of that, especially as an IT professional, I run SCCM, BeyondTrust, and my phone system, so I need that computing power. I would rate this product a ten overall.

I have to reiterate what my coworker said. We do not consistently use much of Dell Business Laptops platform on their features specifically. We use a lot of third-party features, but I do think that it is nice that there is a way to make a bunch of third-party things work into Dell Business Laptops platform for that reason. They work really well with everything that we have so far. The spotlight speaker presented that they integrate with everything, including our data center, our laptops, our everything. We have found 40 different softwares for various purposes. Everything we have managed to integrate with Dell Business Laptops over the years, and there have been challenges here and there, but for the most part, I certainly have no experience with a different brand of products that integrates better with a larger variety of products on the laptop or desktop side. I think they are very happy that Dell Business Laptops are pretty resilient. They work well and mostly last a long time. We have no complaints, honestly. We have never used anything else. If anything, they have more complaints about their own laptops that we are not maintaining and making sure work properly. I cannot say much about user satisfaction scores because we do not ask them to score things, but I think they would score it well. Regarding cost savings, I know that we definitely have some cost savings. We definitely have people coming around asking if we can get some sort of idea on getting a laptop for personal use or asking what we should do. We can figure out how to help them. When everything in the Premier login is set up, then the ease of procurement in comparison with other brands is really easy. However, Dell has been having approximately five or six different account executives since I started at Karmenta, and that has affected my experience a little. I prefer a person to answer quickly and provide updates when I need to make changes and not have the hassle of going through three people before getting my purchase done. This is separate from all the problems with the global market at the moment. When it is working, it is working really good, but there are some small hiccups with the account executives at the moment. Currently, I am testing Dell Enterprise Laptops Pro Max.The CPU for the newer laptops is the Intel Core Ultra, or the Intel vPro 7.Today I learned something new about the vPros that I'm going to start looking into, but so far the performance has been fine.I find Dell Enterprise Laptops fully reliable.In the past, I just used the Dell website for drivers, and that's it.For the keyboards, they are okay. I have some external keyboards and mice, and I have one that works perfectly. I never have a problem. I can leave my laptop connected for 10 days and the keyboard, even though it's wireless, works.I'm satisfied with my current setup. I would rate this review at 9 out of 10.
I think there are a lot of users who just say 'Okay, it is not working anymore. Here you go. Give me another one.' I used to work for Microsoft myself, so I am quite familiar with the Windows OS. The models of Dell Enterprise Laptops I am using include the Latitude 5500, 5520, and around that series. The new ones are the Dell Pro and the Dell 16 Plus. Most problems we fix ourselves unless there's something wrong with the hardware. Software-wise, we are capable of fixing most issues on our own. We don't have any issues yet with hardware, and we have some contacts for the Dell Premier Page, reaching out if we need specific hardware adjustments, but for the rest, we don't contact support. We have a better price, and that is the most important thing for our company, the price point. I would rate this product an eight out of ten overall.

The Intel processor we use is the i5, though I am uncertain of the generation—I believe it is the recent one, possibly the 13th generation. The way Intel processors handle our workloads compared to what I expected is satisfactory. We have never compared Intel with AMD processors, so I cannot determine if there is a significant difference. In the past, Intel has been the most stable option for us when used with software applications such as Adobe Suite and AutoCAD that require substantial processing power for workstation tasks. When we purchase new laptops or refresh existing ones, the Intel processor is always a consideration. I would rate Dell Enterprise Laptops on a scale of one to ten as a seven or an eight because of the stability and manageability they provide. I believe HP is coming close to Dell's performance. Dell Enterprise Laptops need to reach a ten somehow. My overall rating for this review is seven out of ten.

For example, I really appreciate the 7000 series since it is portable, lightweight, functional, and has all the tools that are needed. I have had plenty of complaints regarding throttling and overheating laptops because the cooling system in Dell Enterprise Laptops is not sufficient enough. What I notice is that the thermal paste used in the laptops is different across the platforms. I understand the difference in the pricing between Dell Enterprise Laptops Latitude series 3, 5, 7, and 9. However, using the same thermal compound should provide long life for the cheapest models, which are used the most. Right now, currently in the company, I am struggling with the whole finance department struggling with throttling because the laptops are overheating due to very poor quality thermal compound. I am replacing it with PTM right now and the laptops get a new life. It's not that easy. I'm IT, so I can do it, but my people won't be able to do it by themselves. Latitude is my favorite series. I dug up recently a laptop from 2010 and the battery still lasts around six years. It was not in use for I think the last four years, just laying in a closet. I charged the battery, and it runs smoothly on Windows 10 and on Linux. That's an awesome device. In terms of recent ones, I have from the new line one Dell Pro which is, let me say, I'm really impressed in terms of battery. I think it's the new newcomer for finance working on it and the battery lasts very similar to the Dell Enterprise Laptops Latitude that I have, the 5440 model at the company. Don't try to be similar to MacBook or Apple. Don't try to copy MacBooks. It's not the way. I love Dell Enterprise Laptops because of their unique design. There were plenty of things that were impressive, where I thought, "Wow, that's a new Dell Enterprise Laptops model. I want this one." I can't afford it myself now, so I'll buy it later when I am replacing the laptop. But for a really long time, the keyboard was a super feature in Dell Enterprise Laptops. It was super smooth to type on. The battery, screen, speakers, these were all quite good. I never used a cheaper model of Dell Enterprise Laptops. Now I am struggling with some models purchased by previous IT in the company with the series, I think 7330, which is the most oily laptop I ever touched in my life. It's already peeling off the top coating layer. But older models were much nicer. I think in terms of overheating, the design has changed because Dell gained a bit more space in housing for cooling. I don't mind them being thicker, but don't go the MacBook way. It's not the way. For Dell Enterprise Laptops, I give this review an overall rating of 8.

The battery life is also pretty great; I usually use it plugged in because we have docks at work, so I don't really need to worry about charging. Dell just jumps on right away, helps you out, and the technology never fails. If you have ProSupport, they send you the part the same day, and that's a big win for us. We're in healthcare, so each minute counts for us. The advice I would give to other companies that are considering getting Dell Enterprise Laptops is that I know some of you are used to other technologies, but give Dell a chance and give it a good test. We are a customer. I have not had much experience with other vendors. There might be other products in the market which are better than Dell, however, for us, the product works quite well. On a scale from one to ten, I'd rate them at an eight. If they can work on the pricing and make it more competitive in the market we will continue to buy from them. Otherwise, we'll look for a different option.
