There are much better, cheaper alternatives such as Informatica. However, Optim has an edge when it comes to databases. I think it's better to benchmark before deciding to use a product. If you are going to the cloud, I would suggest consulting with the provider first. If I were to rate this solution, I would rate it at five on a scale from one to ten.
Only a few people use the solution, but the consumptive output numbers nearly 200 resources. Going forward, we wish to use the solution for all future data researches and data masking. I rate IBM InfoSphere Optim as a seven out of ten.
