Integrating with Mendix is generally easy. It is integrated with most modern frameworks, such as REST and Kafka. We've even integrated it with external workflow orchestration tools like JPM or Camunda. However, I have encountered some issues with Mendix regarding SDK-based integrations. While it is possible to perform these integrations, there is no direct way to do it, making the process more complex. For example, if Salesforce provides an SDK instead of a REST API, integrating with the SDK is more complicated than a straightforward REST API integration. I would not recommend Mendix because it is very expensive for external users and can also be expensive for internal users. If your internal workforce is less than 10,000, I recommend Mendix because you can achieve a faster ROI. However, if you have an internal customer base of 30,000- 40,000, I would not recommend Mendix. In version 10.12, released a week ago, Mendix introduced some new features I had requested multiple times. They now have an in-app help feature within the Mendix IDE to speed development. Specifically, they have enabled a chatbot within the Mendix IDE, which helps streamline development. Additionally, Mendix should support modularity in each functionality. For example, the workflow engine should operate separately from the main application, allowing for independent deployment. This means I should be able to deploy the workflow engine, microservices, or UI components separately. If Mendix provides this option, it will be a game changer. This way, I can scale the workflow for workflow-intensive applications, scale the backend for high-throughput scenarios, and scale the content to accommodate many visitors. Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

Mendix has accelerated the development processes in our organization and the speed to market solutions. There are Epics in Mendix that support agile processes and the development of stories. The paths generated from stories using the solution can be appointed to specific team members. I would certainly recommend the tool to other users mainly because the graphical possibilities are immense for a beginner in Mendix. I would recommend others to build a suitable team with at least one specialist before adopting Mendix. I look forward to the vendor's innovations in the product with Artificial Intelligence; for instance, there can be a connection to ChatGPT. Overall, I would rate Mendix a ten out of ten.
I would definitely recommend it to others who are looking to start using it. Mendix is a great platform to use. The calls in Mendix are currently of high quality, and there are even some free apps available. I have used it in my previous projects, and it has been a reliable tool for development. Overall, I would rate it a nine out of ten.
We likely will become a Mendix partner. I'd recommend the solution to others. It seems like a great product, even though I have only worked with it for one month. I'd rate it a nine out of ten in terms of functionality.

I used version 9.0 of Mendix. Mendix is suitable for entry-level to enterprise-level companies. I have yet to work with it on the enterprise level. Still, I have seen what the platform can do because, during the training, the Mendix team showed use cases in the Netherlands for tracking the buses, including Mendix integration with ERP products, such as SAP, Oracle, Fusion, and Sage. Mendix was built to manage up to the enterprise level, covering small, medium, and large companies. More than twenty people use the platform within the company of my customer. I'd tell anyone looking into implementing Mendix that as a tool, it's easy to learn and use because it's low-code, so a developer could make use of it and deploy the apps much faster. My rating for Mendix is high. It's a nine out of ten. If it had lower pricing, then I'd give it a ten. I love Mendix, but I haven't worked with any of its top competitors. My company is a partner and reseller of Mendix.
We build solutions and sell them to clients. We are intermediaries. We use this tool to deliver products. I only use it for web applications and very rarely for the hybrid web. I never use it for the hybrid web. Mostly, I use it only on desktop web. I would recommend this solution and encourage people to learn it. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten. It's very top-notch as a product. It's one of the best.

It is interesting because it is low code, but the developers can still develop in Java. You still need some developers. It is not only an engineering tool. You have engineers and developers working in collaboration. Our Java developers have been key to our success. I would rate it an eight out of ten.

We are at the initial stages of setting up a partnership with Mendix. I was not involved in the technical part. I was leading as a principal architect. My responsibility was to come up with a strategic technical design, and we handed it over to the team, depending on which platform a customer would take. I'd advise potential new users to look at the UX capability. They promise too much. Therefore, be careful with the UX capability, as generally, all these platforms struggle in that area. Look at what they offer and what you need. Be careful with the workflow capability, as it's new, so it will have its own challenges, and look out for the scalability of the platform. I'd rate the solution seven out of ten.
Mendix provides an academic course, which is free and I would advise people to take the course. If they take it, then it will be easy for new users to run through the Mendix development. I rate Mendix an eight out of ten. I did the certification in Mendix and it was nice and easy to learn first. Everybody can learn it easily with available resources. Everything is documented properly, from version to version, and is easy to learn. My area of expertise is with enterprise and I sell to clients which are enterprise companies. I recommend this solution to others.
I am just the software tester. So, I test the quality of applications built in Mendix. So, I do not sell. I am just a very enthusiastic user. I’m not sure which version I am using and if it is the latest or not. I would recommend potential new users start with an assessment on what they really need the application to do and then see if Mendix can really help and if it's applicable for their application. Mendix can be used for many things. However, there are a few best uses and also some that are not so compatible with Mendix. A new company must first make sure before they start to understand if Mendix fits the needs. I’d rate the solution eight out of ten.
We have a cloud version, hosted on AWS, and an on-prem solution as well. I would advise others to not buy it blindly. Figure out the use case first. Do the cost-benefit analysis as the running cost of a low-code platform is a little bit higher, too. They support startups, too, however, it might become expensive for them. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

We're just end-users. My students use it. I just view and am not involved intensively in using Mendix. Coming from a developing country, Indonesia, we hope that Mendix continues to offer a free solution. It's a very good solution. I'd rate it eight out of ten.
We're a Mendix partner. We have maybe 20 engineers. Most of them are certified. We have Rapid certification and intermediate and advanced certificates. We are not a user. We're not a consumer. We are the provider building custom solutions based on Mendix for different clients and different customers in different domains. I'd advise potential users that the principle of having a citizen developer and a business developer is a good idea. You can engage with the business people from day one with the entire cycle of development. This is maybe the key to having such a platform. Overall, I would rate the solution eight out of ten.
I rate this product a nine out of ten. If you consider adopting Mendix, rather build a new culture and a new team. Do not just try and use legacy software developers who are passionate about older technologies. Use Mendix adoption as an opportunity to integrate business and IT; build new teams that are supported by first-rate software engineers AND new business engineers who can focus on understanding both business and IT. This allows one to model the business, understand the business, and develop the right software. Mendix is excellent for innovation. Whenever one has an opportunity for new product development, it's an excellent choice.

On a scale of one to ten, I would give Mendix about an eight. I'd probably put Appian about the same and Camunda I would say is maybe a six. I would recommend Mendix, but obviously, for the right use case. That's the point.
While I can't say exactly which version of Mendix we are using, I can state that it is the latest one. The business analyst has a more important role than that of the developer in a Mendix project. He needs a proper understanding of how to design the Mendix process so it may be automatable and executable. The business analyst must be able to use a Mendix platform. As Mendix needs to improve its product and support, I rate it as an eight out of ten.

I work post-sales doing basically project management and solution design before it hits my developers. We use a variety of different versions of the solution which we use. Mostly, it's version 8.3 on. That being said, if it's a new customer, they're going to have the most recent. If it's not, we update them as appropriate depending on how it's going to affect the existing environment. We're looking forward to 9.0, coming out this month actually. They're discussing a lot of good, new features we're excited about. I'd recommend those considering the solution to take the classes, as they're worth it to make sure you understand the solution. It is all online learning. The other program we use with it has been extremely effective for us. There's a program called Datadog and it helps us monitor any kind of error logging at a much more granular level, which has been helpful in pinpointing anything that potentially comes up. In general, on the platform overall, I would rate the solution at a ten out of ten, and on the pricing model, as it is now, at an eight out of ten. In general, for me, it falls currently at a nine out of ten. That may change once the pricing is adjusted in the near future.
We are just a customer and end-user. We're not using the latest version of the solution, however, we're going to upgrade to the latest one. In Mendix, we're using 8.9, however, we're now going to upgrade soon as some of our teams have just started using later libraries, and obviously, that needs upgrading. We're heavily governed and our governance processes and approvals for cloud take forever. We have these automations deployed on-premise. Both Blue Prism and Mendix are hosted internally and will be for a number of years. We want to go cloud, however, first, we need to get our internal approvals in order. I'd rate the solution at a seven out of ten. It's one of the best which we touched and we're still happy with it. However, dealing in binary makes me deduct a few points.
The solution was good in our tests but we could not get a hold of the company for further inquiries. This is the reason I gave such a low score below. I rate Mendix a five out of ten.

The learning curve for an experienced software engineer or information analyst, it is quite steep. If you do not have any of these backgrounds, it will take you somewhere between five to eight months to master the platform. It depends on your experience in Java programming or database programming, if you will go fast. If you do have experience in making functional technical designs of software languages, like UML and BPMN, you will learn it quickly. Therefore, it depends on your track record. If you want to see what it is capable of doing, you have to do a project with it, end-to-end and not just looking at the technology. * Do a project with the focus of learning, not the end result in mind, and learn from what you encounter. * Do a project, not a proof of concept, which does not help. It does not give you the insights you need. * Do a project, and it once you do the project, you have to do the second step, do multiple projects. If you have success with that, then go for platform. * Do a project, but start it with one end-to-end project, which should be small. It should not be too big, maybe between 20 to 50 business days of work. So, it is sort of manageable. If it fails, it does not cost you too much to do a project, that's what it magnifies. * If you have the resources to do a project with the two platforms, try them next to each other and see what the differences are.
