I rate the tool a seven out of ten. My advice would be to explore the capabilities that it provides. Many people overlook some of its features. For instance, check out the options available in the marketplace. There might be integrations or extensions that monday.com doesn't offer out of the box, but third-party extensions can fill those gaps. Also, take a close look at the features within monday.com. Consider what you need to customize versus what it offers out of the box.

The tool's automation feature is not relevant for me because I don't really need it for my assignment. I recommend the tool to others because it is easy to use, but I am not sure whether it would still be easy to use if you have more complex applications. I rate the tool a seven out of ten.

Those who plan to use the solution should take time to dive deep, test, and try to customize the product to meet their needs. I rate the overall product a nine out of ten.
I would recommend the product to others. It is quite a simple tool for people who do not know how to manage projects. Overall, I rate the tool a seven out of ten.
If you're evaluating it, I would advise getting the trial membership and playing around with it to see if it does what you wanted to do. Talk to a consultant if you need to. Pay for an hour with a consultant to let them talk to you about how that particular platform works and how you want to use it. There are plenty of clients that I've moved from Salesforce, Trello, or Asana because monday.com is a better platform for what they're trying to do. Salesforce is way too complicated for a small business to do the type of tracking that a small business needs to do, and it's more expensive. It's just a matter of evaluating the functionality and the scalability of what you want to do long-term with your business or your project. It's fairly easy to learn. It isn't technical at all. Just like any new software, it takes a little bit of time, but monday.com does have some good resources. I have little ninety-second clips to show you how to do small things. I offer training to my clients too so that it's more specific to how they are using the product. Of course, you do have monday.com's training, which is more generic. In my experience, most of the time, people learn better if they're looking at their own data and working with their own system, but overall, it's fairly easy. If you've used Excel before and you're good at that, monday.com is super easy. It's easier than Excel. It can help to reduce project delays, but you have to set it up correctly. You have to set up automations or notifications when a deadline is within five days, ten days, or whatever you need to get that amount of work done. That's key to being able to stay on top of those projects. I'm looking at a client's data. They have this great little project management table, but nobody is on to it. There are no deadlines, and there are no automations. They're missing the ability to stay on top of that. There are no views. There are a lot of things you can do to stay on top of the project. You just have to set it up correctly. It can help break down silos within an organization. A lot of the people who are managers don't want to see the details. They don't want to see what goes behind making the sausage. They just want to see if the sausage has been made. So, dashboards, reports, and things along those lines are imperative to being able to break down silos within a business. Overall, I'd rate monday.com a nine out of ten. The biggest weakness is its reporting abilities. There are some limitations to what you can pull in for reports and the number of boards you can include. There are some things you can't do in reporting right now. The number of boards that they limit you to for the reporting is also like a handcuff. There should be the ability to see things differently. In the reporting, they need more widgets, or they need to be able to include more field types or things along those lines to give you better insights without having to go to a third party.
If you're looking into implementing Monday.com, I'd advise spending some time going through all of its capabilities and options. You probably need to learn about automations and how they work so that you can use it to the best of your knowledge. A couple of times, I went on YouTube and saw videos on YouTube, which were helpful. I'd recommend watching the videos on YouTube because they're written from an outsider's perspective. Look at the actual features that it has. If there's a list of features anywhere, see and compare that against other companies, but also compare pricing for the long term because, in some places, you have to pay more with fewer users. Monday.com was pretty reasonable, and the jumps were good in terms of adding users and everything like that. So, you never get sticker shock with Monday.com. I am 54, so the biggest issue with me starting my company was the technological lift. I found that I had a significant learning curve to be able to use Monday.com, but once I learned enough about how to use it, I found it pretty easy to use. It helps the way that it's structured. You have to learn how to think like a project management software, which is a skill you have to acquire so that you can then create automations, relationships, and things like that. If you're a non-technical person, the biggest challenge is going to be figuring out all the different ways it can be used before you can get into it and start using it well. It can take a while to create a new project, but it's getting faster. When I first started, you had to create the project, but you didn't fully create it until you filled out the board and figured out all the different data points and other things you needed. It used to take much longer. Now that I've been using Monday.com, and I know what the possibilities are, I can create a new project in maybe an hour. It has the Gantt reporting, but we didn't use it very much. We were able to sort things by their due date in order to show our priorities, and that was very helpful. Overall, I'd rate Monday.com a nine out of ten.
Training is a part of the onboarding process that I do for my customers. If you talk about two years ago, it used to take around one or one and a half months to onboard 50 users. Today, with the adoption of low-code, no-code, and AI, people have gotten used to having a tool that is easy and flexible. Now, the entire learning curve has been reduced and, within two to three weeks, I have 50 users onboarded. My advice would be that before you buy it you need to know your use case really well and there has to be a particular challenge or pain point identified. Are you facing difficulties in tracking? Are you having problems with visibility into your resources and capacity? Are you having difficulties with reporting or streamlining your workflows? If your answer to any of these issues is "Yes, I do have that," monday.com is definitely an answer and solution for you. Overall, I would rate the solution at around 8.5 to nine out of 10.

I would advise others to give it a go. It's been great for task management with collaboration on top and some web-based integrations like Slack ( /products/slack-reviews ), Github, or Microsoft Teams ( /products/microsoft-teams-reviews ).
We are customers and end-users. Our environment is 100% virtual, with everyone working from home. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten. I'd advise new users to watch the tutorials. If you do not have the basic knowledge of how to use Monday.com, you can get lost very quickly. When a platform has so many settings and solutions, that means that it's more difficult to set up everything, as it's not quick. When you set up a workflow, you have multiple options to choose from and then, when you choose an option, then you have other multiple options. You can mess it up pretty quickly. However, if you are watching the tutorials, and see and think ahead about how you want to set up your board and what you want to see, this platform would be perfect. That said, at first, you need to know what you want to see. A random setting up of boards, statuses, and labels will not be ideal. If you know what you want to see, then you can prepare.
I'd advise others to consider whether it will be useful for your whole team. It is more beneficial when everyone can use it and access the shared boards to promote better monitoring, cross-learning, and teamwork.
I hope they keep on developing this solution. Every update in the past nine months has been really great. I am really looking forward to what they can improve as so far it is pretty amazing.
I received an email tonight from a person at another company who noticed that we shared a Monday.com query form to complete. She reached out to me directly via email to ask how I like Monday.com. I gave a great review to her and told her to reach out if she has questions.
I would recommend Monday.com to all biotech companies or research labs so that they can keep detailed notes of their work and track future projects easily.

We'd like the company to make Monday faster and cut down on the times when it is down and not working. Recently, Monday has been down a couple of times a week. It will say that they are having technical difficulties, or it just won't load. It is frustrating because we use Monday for everything so we have to essentially stop and wait for Monday to start working again before we can continue to work.
We have more capabilities to send email templates within each task. We have workflows and we would love to have white-labeling services since we have client-facing boards and they are confused as to what is monday.com. That is just not user-friendly for our clients.
Monday.com is basically our office now. Although some of us did come back to the physical space, that was a choice. We’re ready for remote work and hybrid positions now with Monday.
I'd like the solution to please kindly make milestones appear in bold. If we were given the option for our tasks to appear in italic as well - that would also be amazing as we could then easily differentiate between urgent tasks and milestones. We want more customizable charts.
I'm not sure of which version of the solution I'm using. I'd advise a new user to try to create a few projects as an example before you create a real one. It's a little bit complicated and I'm not aware if there's a manual to read or find out how to properly do the setup of a project. If a new user tries to create a few examples before they start, it will help them get comfortable with Monday. I would rate the solution six out of ten. I'm always comparing. Monday and Jira are both for project management solutions. Comparing it with Jira, Monday doesn't have as many features or abilities. It's a very basic program. You cannot create Casper flows or create automated approval or check the availability of your team based on your resources. It gives you an overall picture, the high-level picture, of your tasks and that is basically it.

I'd rate the solution at a six out of ten. For business processes, it's pretty good, however, for more technical tasks, it's not there yet. I'd recommend the product to those looking to organize business processes, however, for more technical teams, I would advise that they go with Jira.

We are a customer and an end-user. We don't have a business relationship with Monday.com. We're using the latest version of the solution. While it is deployed on the cloud, I'm not sure which cloud service we are using. I'd advise those considering the solution to first run a pilot project first to try it out and get to know it. Overall, I would rate the solution at a nine out of ten.

We're just a customer. We don't have a business relationship with monday.com. I believe we are using the enterprise version of the solution. It may be one or two levels above the standard solution. The best advice I can give to others considering the solution is to really think about the structure early on. The solution really has a lot of tools and it's really easy to implement it. That said, you can end up having many ways to organize your projects. Therefore, the best advice is to have a real plan and structure before you're starting using it, otherwise, you may end up all over the place. Overall, I would rate the solution nine out of ten. If it didn't have dashboard limitations, I would give it a perfect mark.
