If the customer is already using Oracle Database I will recommend this because this is already built-in to the database. You only need to enable it. No additional layer of software to install and manage. The transparent data encryption is something that customer loved because it does not require any application code modification.

My recommendation for this solution would depend on customer needs. As you may know, Oracle has a lot of different offerings for database service because it has the standard database service, there is an autonomous database, there is Exadata Cloud Service. So there are lots of choices that the customer can consider. It depends on the specific customer needs, so usually, I do an assessment to really identify the correct solution for that customer. I would rate it a seven out of ten.

Overall, it is a good solution and I can recommend it to anybody who wants to encrypt columnar data and protect it against theft. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.
